Ineffable: Too great to be expressed in words.

"Two days until the party," Emma mutters to no one in particular.

She groans, feeling the beginning of a headache forming. The last thing I need is another goddamn headache, she thinks angrily. She rubs her temples, hoping that it will relieve the hassle. It doesn't. She picks up a folder and flicks through the pages.

"Of course, they gave me the wrong folder," she sighs.

She gets up from her desk, placing her hands on the table. After a short pause, she makes her way over to the door and leaves her office. She walks across the halls, looking for her assistant.

"Astrid!" She yells.

Emma turns around when she hears heels clacking on the wooden floor behind her.

"Yes, Miss Lopez?" Astrid - Emma's assistant - asks with a slight stutter.

Emma shakes her head. "Sorry if I scared you. Somewhere along the line, I was handed the wrong pages," she explains, holding out the folder, "fix it."

Astrid immediately nods, takes the report and scrambles away.  Emma turns around and walks back to her office, wondering what to do. When she sits back down at her desk, she rests her head in her hands again. The last thing I need is for that damned report to go missing, she thinks with a sigh. She lightly shakes her head and starts flicking through other folders. Just my luck, for the only report that I actually need to go missing. And she's right, she can't use any other report. She looks up when she hears a short knock at the door.

"Come in," she says loudly.

Astrid briskly walks into Emma's office, shutting the door behind herself. She turns to face Emma.

"The report has gone missing. It was stolen," she explains.

Emma immediately groans and rubs her temples. Can this day get any worse? She ponders to herself.

"The party is in two days. What am I supposed to do? I need that report," she gets up from her seat, resting her hands on the desk. Astrid nods.

"I understand, Miss Lopez, but it was stolen. I am unable to acquire it," she responds.

Emma gestures to the door. "Please. I need time to think."

Astrid takes the hint and leaves.

As soon as Astrid has closed the door behind her, Emma groans and slumps back against her chair.

"Well, since I've got nothing to do, I might as well go home," she murmurs to herself before getting up and walking to her office door. She leaves her office, walks down a few flights of stairs then exits the building, not looking back.

Emma plops down onto her couch in front of the TV. She stares at the blank screen, lost in thought. Who could've done this? she thinks while a million other thoughts cloud her mind. She shakes her head, trying to get the speculations out of her mind. However, what she doesn't know is that the thief is right under her nose.
