Ethereal: Extremely delicate, light, not of this world.

"Jesus, I still can't believe that he's in the Mafia. He could kill me at any chance, I need to be careful. And I can't break the code of Omertà, or I'll die," I murmur as Vincenzo leaves my office.

I immediately cover my mouth and curse under my breath when I realise that he's still standing outside my office door.

After I'm sure that Vincenzo's gone, I breathe a sigh of relief and start packing up my things to go home, to be greeted by him, again.

"What are you doing here?" I groan as I walk into the lift, him following my like a stray puppy.

"I wanted to discuss business with you," he replies, sounding so sincere.

I press the ground floor and look towards him.

"We can do that tomorrow, in my office," I say.

He shakes his head. "It's about our relationship," he whispers in my ear, sending a tingle down my spine.

I sigh. "Fine," I give in.

He smiles in a superior kind of way. What have I just gotten myself into?

I sit on the couch in my apartment while Vincenzo looks around the ting building.

"What did you want to say about 'our relationship'?" I ask, watching him gaze at the walls around us.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see where you live," he shrugs it off.

"What?" My eyes widen.

He just shrugs again, causing me to groan. I grab a pillow off of the couch and throw it at him. It hits him in the face.

"Ow! What was that for?" he chucks the pillow back at me.

I giggle, ducking so that the cushion doesn't hit me. "You're just so annoying! You deserve a taste of your own medicine!" I giggle again.

He frowns overdramatically. "Oh, my dear Emma, woe is me," he states, clutching his chest, making me erupt into a fit of laughter.

After Vincenzo leaves, I lay back down on the couch and replay the last moments I just had with him in my mind. And then, while I was thinking, I realised something. I realised that I'm in love.

I'm in love with Vincenzo.

Hi! Sorry that this chapter is so short, I knew how I wanted it to end, but I wasn't sure how to get there. I tried dragging it out a little bit, but then it just seemed too messy and jumbled.
