Location: Enterprise Brig
"Why the hell did he surrender?" Bones asks as he, Jim, Carolynn and Spock walk towards the brig, all three of them cleaned up and in their Starfleet uniforms.
"I don't know. But he just took out a squad of Klingons single-handedly. I want to know how." Jim replies in one breath.
"Sounds like we have a superman on board." Bones say and lifts his eyesbrows up as they reach their prisoner.
"You tell me." Carolynn mutters as they group reaches the glass cell.
Bones moves a circular device to create a small opening in the cell forcefield.
"Put your arm through the hole. I'm gonna take a blood sample." Bones orders Harrison, who complies.
"Why aren't we moving, Captain?" Harrison asks as Bones takes his blood sample. Both Jim and Spock stay silent. Harrison's gaze moves from Jim to Carolynn. He looks at from head to toe, making her extremely uncomfortable, but she stares back at him. He then looks back at Jim and continues,
"An unexpected malfunction, perhaps, in your warp core conveniently stranding you on the edge of Klingon space?"
"How the hell do you know that?" Bones asks as his ears perk up.
"Bones." Jim warns.
"I think you'd find my insight valuable, Captain." Harrison says, but sticks to not conversing with him at all.
Bones closes the hole.
"We good?" Jim asks Bones.
"Yeah." Bones replies
"Let me know what you find." Jim says as Bones walks away. Jim and Spock begin to leave the brig when he realises Carolynn isn't beside him. He turns behind to see her staring at Harrison.
He walks and places his hand on her back. "Rose?" He says and breaks her out of her glaring gaze. She turns and all three of them attempt to leave the brig, when a baritone voice is heard.
"Ignore me and you will get everyone on this ship killed." Harrison says.
This makes all three of them stop their tracks. Carolynn sees Jim fuming as his breaths become heavier and heavier. If it were possible, his blue orbs would have turned red by now.
"Captain, I believe he will only attempt to manipulate you. I would not recommend engaging the prisoner further." Spock says trying to calm him down.
"Give us a minute." Jim says and Spock leaves.
Jim breaths in and out a couple of times and turns back swiftly, walking towards Harrison's cells. Carolynn follows him quickly, panic surging through her veins.
"Let me explain what's happening here. You are a criminal. I watched you murder innocent men and women. I was authorised to end you! And the only reason why you are still alive is because I am allowing it. So shut your mouth." Jim spits.
"Oh, Captain, you gonna to punch me again over and over till your arm weakens? Clearly you want to, so tell me, --" Harrison pauses and looks at Carolynn with a smirk. "why did you allow me to live?" He asks.
"We all make mistakes." Jim says.
"No. I surrendered to you because, despite your attempt to convince me otherwise, you seem to have a conscience, Mister Kirk. If you did not, then it would be impossible for me
to convince you of the truth." Harrison says smacking his lips."Something tells me to not believe you." Carolynn says glaring at the man.
Harrison looks at Carolynn and smirks and says, "So you are as fierce as you appear to be." This makes Carolynn glare harder at the man.
Harrison looks at Jim and continues, "23-17-46-11. Coordinates not far from Earth. If you want to know why I did what I did, go and take a look."
"Give me one reason why I should listen to you." Jim asks, gears turning in his head.
"I can give you seventy two, and they're on board your ship, Captain. They have been all along. I suggest you open one up." Harrison replies.
Both Jim and Carolynn's expressions change in realisation.
They leave the brig and pause at a corridor.
"James, contact Scotty." Carolynn blurts out.
"Scotty? Why?" Jim asks furrowing his brows.
"Ask him to go check the coordinates out. Isn't that obvious?" She says in one breath.
Jim fishes his communicator out. "I hope agrees to it though."
Jim calls Scotty and upbeat music and shouts are heard in the background.
"What?" Scotty's voice is heard over comms.
"Scotty it's Kirk." Jim says holding onto the railing on which Carolynn is leaning.
"Ooow. Well, nooww. If it isn't Captain James Tiberius PERFECT HAIR!" Scotty shouts
This makes Jim furrow his brows. Carolynn on the other hand let's out an amused laugh, what felt like happened after ages.
"What? Where are you?" Jim asks irritated.
"Where-are-you?" Scotty repeats his question.
"Are you drunk?" Jim asks furrowing his brows as if it isn't obvious already.
"What I do in my private time is my business, Jimbo." Scotty replies.
"Scotty." Carolynn speaks up shutting Jim.
"Oi, Lynn! How are ya?" Scotty asks.
"Umm..okay I guess..not sure though..I need you to help me out with something. Will you take these coordinates down? 23-17-46-11." Carolynn says.
"Are you writing?" Jim asks.
"What, you don't think I can remember four numbers? Hahahaha. Ye of little faith. What was the third one?" Scotty continues to be his usual self.
"Forty six" Jim replies. "Don't know exactly what you're looking for, but I've a feeling you'll know it when you see it. You may have been right about those torpedoes." Jim says sheepishly.
"I will consider that an apology. And I will consider that apology." Scotty replies making both Jim and Carolynn smile and look at eachother.
"You are the one who quit." Jim says as a matter of factly with and small smile. Carolynn lets out a chuckle.
"YOU MADE ME QUIT!" Scotty shouts and cuts the communication.
"Mr. Scott? Fff. Scott. Aargh." Jim groans and turns his communicator off.
