Chapter 3

Jayk's POV
I looked at the clock to see that it was already 4 in the morning.
"I hope Tc doesn't think anything of this." Bri looked at me nervously. "What did he say to you on the phone earlier?" She asked still nervous.
"He was just asking when I would be back to the house so he could lock the door."
"Oh, okay," she smiled at me. "Did he sound mad?"
"Bri! No! Stop worrying!" I laughed.
"Well you know how freaking confusing that boy is!" She stopped to calm herself. "I think the only thing he's sure that he wants is FOOD!" We laughed.
I stepped back to look at all the arrangements. "Looks good Bri! Good thing you've got the big house to make this party work." I laughed a little.
"Well I would've used y'all's house, but we ALWAYS do parties there, so he would automatically know that we were doing a surprise party."
I nodded my head in agreement. I looked at her as she looked at all the arrangements we had just finished. 'There's just something about this girl that gets my heart racing, and if Tc doesn't step up and make the move. I'm going to.' I thought to myself.
I smiled at her. She looked back at me. "What?" She giggled.
"Nothing." I smiled still. "Well, what are we telling him?"
"Okay," she paused. "Here's how the party is going down... I'm going to wake up at 8 am and I'm going to text the girls first and they're going to go to the store and grab some alcohol."
"Ooooo, alcohol Huh?" I chuckled.
"Anyway," she laughed and continued. "They'll come back hopefully by 12 and then all of Tcs friends should be arriving at 1."
"Um," I interrupted her. "Where will the guys and I be?"
"Remember?!" She slapped me on the shoulder slightly. "You and the guys are going to run around with him for his birthday, do whatever you guys do for fun." She laughed. "Then bring him back at around 7 and make sure he doesn't come anywhere near even 'wanting' to go back home! Okay?!"
I stared at her with wide opened eyes. "Um, alright," I smiled. "Sounds like you've got everything figured out."
"I'm hoping so," she sighed. "I want this to be the best birthday he's ever had." She plopped down on her couch. "Well, I'm going to head back to the house. And wake up early. Even though it's almost 5 in the morning." I laughed.
"Okay, thanks for helping me!" She stood up and hugged me. There was a moment when I looked into her eyes, and she did the same. I felt the need to lean in closer. But then she pulled away. "Welp! See you later Jayk!" She patted my shoulder.
"Alrighty," I smiled awkwardly and left.

Bridget's POV
*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP* I woke up to the sound of my stupid alarm again. 'I really hate waking up early.' I thought to myself. *BEEP* "oh, would you shut up?!" I slammed my hand down on the snooze button. "8 in the damn morning. Tc, I swear you better appreciate all I've done for your big freakin day!" 'Shit head.' I quietly laughed to myself thinking about Tc, and hoping to see that big cheesy smile of his soon.
I grabbed for my phone, sitting next to me on my bed, to text the girls.
-Hey! Are y'all with Ashley? (Devin's girlfriend).
I waited a few seconds for a text back from one of them.
-Yep! On the way to the store now! Andrea texted back.
-Are the boys headed out? Have you told Tc happy birthday? Don't make anything suspicious! I texted them in return. I also tend to freak out when I'm nervous.
-Bri!!! Calm down! He's out with the boys! He's totally unaware of what's going on tonight! Breathe! They texted back trying to calm me down, but I wasn't having it, the thought kept going through my mind that he was gonna figure out what was going on.
-I'm trying!!!!! Ugh. I replied.
I decided to call Tc and tell him happy birthday so he would know I didn't forget about him.
"Now that that's out of the way. Time to relax a little bit." I walked into the kitchen and made a bowl of cereal. I grabbed a spoon out of the drawer and walked into my living room to sit down, relax, and eat a nice bowl of cereal. I turned on some television to get my mind off of things. "Aw! Looney tunes is on, haven't seen this in a while." I felt like a little kid, with my bowl of cereal and looney tunes on the screen.
About 2 hours went by and I had fallen asleep on the couch with my small blanket wrapped over me. *DING DONG* I heard the doorbell ring and woke up to go answer it. Looking out of the peephole I saw the girls with tons of bags. It looked as if they went and bought millions of groceries.
"Holy cow! What all did you guys get?!" I asked with my mouth probably dropped way down to the floor.
"Well, you said you wanted a fun party for Tc, so we dabbled some." Ellie laughed.
"Dabble? You dabbled a lot! Thank you!" I opened the bags to see chips, alcohol, salsa, cheese dip, more balloons, more decorations, sodas, confetti, champagne bottles, lights, black lights, and so much more.
"Didn't we already buy a lot of this same stuff the other day?" I asked in confusion.
"Yea, but more equals BETTER!" Ashley screamed.
"Well, alright." I plugged my ear a little bit.
We decorated some more till my house looked like a freakin party ZOO.
"Well, I'd say my house is ready to be partied in." I smiled.
"What about the back?" Andrea asked.
"It's all set, me and Jayk were getting it set up when he came over last night." I blushed a little.
"Woah!" Ashley interrupted me. "Jayk? Our Jayk? Jayk Purdy Jayk?"
I laughed. "Yes! How many Jayks do you know of?"
"One." They all looked at me with an evil stare.
"What?! Did you want Tc to come and set up for his own party?!!" I huffed.
"Well, no, but Jayk doesn't help set up for much of anything really." Ellie added, making a really good point.
"Well, since we're on the subject of Jayk now..." I paused.
"Um, what happened?" Andrea asked with one of her eyebrows hiked.
"I think he tried to kiss me last night before he left."
"What?!" Ashley shouted.
"Yea..." I stood there in awkward silence until my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey! We're on our way over, is it too early?"
"Go ahead and come on over. We're all set up, just waiting till dark to have this party, I didn't think I'd be done this quick."
"Alright, we'll wait a little longer then."
"Alrighty! See ya later!"
"Who was that?" Ellie asked.
"Cody, Tc's good friend. He was gonna head over, but it's kind of too early to."
"Yea, true." Ashley added.
