Sungchan felt a shiver run down his spine. He was with Mark and Jeno in the cafeteria trying to enjoy their lunch. Yangyang wasn't with them for some reason. Hendery as well but they knew that he was probably with Yangyang.

❝ hey mark, isn't that the guy you have a thing for? ❞ Jeno was sitting beside him, across mark who quickly turned his head To where Jeno was pointing.

 

❝isn't that the rank a dude from section two? ❞ sungchan rarely cared for the ranks. Firmly believing that a person's knowledge cannot be measured by three measly ranks. He did however care about the guy Jeno was pointing at as he was the same person he used to crush on back in freshman year. Small world huh.

 

Mark quickly turns his head back at them. One because he didn't want the two to have the satisfaction to tease him and two, heachan as what the boy wanted to be called by him, might end up catching him staring at him. ❝ what thing? We're just friends❞

 

❝friends? Yeah right❞ sungchan snorts. ❝friends don't save each other as bub❞

 

Mark rolls his eyes, ❝oh shut up. You're just salty that you got ghosted ❞

 


touche. In sungchan's defense, he didn't plan on ghosting the dude. OK he did but it he would do it after a month than the usually 1 week period. The guy was fun to chat with. With their weird sayings and all.

 


❝ I'm not salty❞ he came to his defense. ❝I'm just offended that he had the opacity to ghost me❞




Mark eyes him like he was crazy. ❝sungchan, it's audacity not opacity❞




Mark's correction makes Jeno burst out laughing. He really found it funny as he was stopping himself from falling of his seat while hitting their steal table that was making a loud bang. They didn't need to worry though, everyone somehow had their attention to where mark's 'friend' is.




❝why do you think they're looking at them❞ sungchan asks, noticing how everyone was paying attention to mark's friend'' friend group. He spots a familiar face. ❝ isn't that Renjun? ❞




Mark turns his head before turning it back. ❝isn't he yangyang' S crush? ❞



Sungchan suddenly snorts. ❝who gets crushes at this time? Aren't we too old for that shit? ❞



❝you're never too old to have crushes sungchan❞ mark tells him.



❝isn't that something as liking someone? ❞




Mark's expression  slightly falters before fixes it, making him look like he was ready to sermon sungchan which he does frequently. ❝having a crush and liking on someone is different in a sense. When you crush on someone, the usual basis is their looks. When you like someone, it goes beyond that. You'll like them because of their personality and such❞





❝and how can you call it love? ❞ Jeno finally calmed down from his high to join their topic.



❝love is when you'll realize that you're ready to let them go or bring them back❞



❝huh? ❞ both sungchan  and Jeno were puzzled. Scratching their heads with their brows furrowed. This made mark sigh in exasperation, shaking his head and pitying the two. ❝I'm curious what goes on in both of your heads.❞ he shakes his head. ❝to say it simply, love is when you fear love❞




❝that makes less sense! ❞ sungchan exclaims, leaning slightly back but not to much that he would fall off his seat. Damn their school for not placing backrests on their chairs.




❝you'll understand it when you experience it❞ mark has long given up on giving advice to these two. He opted to be with Yangyang who was a hopeless romantic and had some sense in him.






Sungchan pouts. It wasn't that he was dumb. He just couldn't comprehend it properly. He hasn't been in a serious relationship. He goes on dates here and there but their wasn't anything special. There was no spark. He wasn't a hopeless romantic like Mark and Yangyang but he is someone who believes in the one.






Enough babbling about his non existent love life. He has to get his head in the game (are you Zac Efron?). Not only that but he has to have a word to that ghoster.




How ironic really.

 


❝who's the other dude? ❞ jeno motioned to the person who was shaking mark's friend's other friend. ❝i don't usually see him with them❞






❝oh❞ mark came to a realization, ❝that's jaemin. The one he's shaking is Shotaro. My bub is heachan but call him donghyuck. And we all know renjun thanks to yangyang❞ he said the last part with an eyeroll.

❝shotaro i just want you to know that i am not proud of you. I'm in fact worried for you❞ jaemin screeches, letting go of shotaro who he shook back and forth for two minutes.




Shotaro felt like his brain was bouncing around. Like the inside of a maracas. ❝i can see it clearly❞




Jaemin heeves a tired sigh, dropping beside shotaro and laying his head on his shoulder. ❝out of all people it just had to be him❞




❝what's so wrong with him? ❞ shotaro found nothing wrong with the guy who chatted him. Sire they were a little self centered but aren't we all.




❝that's jung sungchan! ❞ jaemin cries, pulling on his hair in frustration.






❝who? ❞







Jaemin's mouth hung open, disbelief clear in his eyes as his friends were completely clueless to JUNG SUNGCHAN. He started doing hand signals. ❝jung sungchan, from section 2 just our batch. Ring a bell? ❞






The three shook their heads.






❝the tall as guy who is almost as tall as johnny hyung. Looks like a mix of jaehyun hyung and teayong hyung—no? Like none? ❞






❝sadly so❞ renjun answers him.






Jaemin wonders if his friends lived under a rock. Everyone knows about sungchan. The tall, handsome, star player of the school hockey team and friends with mark. Friends with mark! ❝he's friends with mark! ❞




❝he is? ❞ donghyuck furrows his brows, trying to figure out which one of the people mark had introduced to him was sungchan. ❝it doesn't ring a bell❞




❝jaemin if you know so much about him, it's safe to say you like him❞ shotaro had enough of this sungchan. If the guy was that famous then he must be living under some type of rock because he has not once met this sungchan. ❝ you can have him. I ghosted him remember❞





❝what? No! ❞ jaemin rapidly shakes his head no, making shotaro pray for his own brain. ❝i just—just try to stay away from him. I heard he's trouble❞





❝and where did you hear that from? ❞ shotaro asks him, picking up a fry.




❝from friends❞





❝you mean from random people from the corridors❞ renjun deadpans, silencing their friend. ❝you know, we can't quickly judge a person base on what people says about them. Remember, people with tell their side not the other side❞





There's a reason why shotaro looks up to renjun. He's smart, kind, talented and etc. ❝i have the right saying for this. People will say  a person has two sides, one which is good and the other which is bad. It would depend on how you perceive the person to know which side is right❞





Renjun nods his head at that. ❝right shotaro! ❞
