Sungchan only nodded his head at the words mr. Huang was saying. The old man was talking about his plan on sending his only son abroad to study medical technology. He was very proud at how his son managed to retain his spot as a student in section one. And how he always listened to him, never once going against his wishes. It was just sad the kid was with his mother.

Mr. Huang was a divorcee. His wife filing divorce as she had enough of his infidelity (which sungchan would like to say: BOOM DASURV). He had a son year older than sungchan but was in the same grade as he was. This made sungchan wonder if he ever met them. He wasn't close with the people in section one but he knew people. Specifically: jaemin, renjun, donghyuck, and shotaro.

Sweet shotaro who made him feel disorganized with the words his hyungs were telling him. It wasn't his fault, okay. He rarely asked advice and when he did, he never knew how to accept them. Call him someone in denial and he wasn't going to deny it because he really was, a man in denial.

But back to mr. Huang. The old man was somewhat close to his father, recently turning up in their tea room for a chat with his old man. Sometimes, he and jaehyun would be called and business talk would be exchanged over a cup of tea. However, recently his father and mr. Huang would call for his presence only. They never talked business, they would talk about mr. Huang's son.

Sungchan had a feeling that this would lead to something he desperately wants to avoid, arrange marriage. He was already suffering with a love he chose, much more one that he didn't. Nevertheless, he still accepted to converse with the men.

"Doesn't my son sound amazing?" Mr. Huang asked him, mouth covered by the cup of tea the man took a sip from.

Sungchan faked a hum of satisfaction, shifting his feet under the table. His back was aching for sitting straight for an hour. "Yes, your son sounds amazing, mr. Huang."

His son sounded like the son his father wanted. Sadly the old man got him and jaehyun who were like two wild dogs who can't be leashed. Did he just diss himself and jaehyun? He did.

"Of course he is. He's a huang!" Mr. Huang sounded arrogant. Well, he was arrigant. He walked in their property like he owned it. That man would be dead before he could own a chair in their house. He then coughed. "I'm sorry. That came out wrong, second jung."

“it is alright sir.” sungchan smiled fakely. Usually, he would offended as a mere commoner dare raised their voice at him, but he didn't have the energy. He thought long and hard of his situation. He was still confused on what do to. Unorganized if you will. Everywhere he looked, there was a thought that he couldn't put in order.

“my second son keeps on saying he doesn't want to marry someone rich for the benefit. I blame my ex wife for it. She's too soft on the boy. No one is going to survive our capitalistic life if he goes by that.” mr. Huang sounded disappointed, which sungchan could get. If he didn't meet shotaro, he wouldn't care if he didn't love his partner. He was in the relationship for the benefits. The jungs can only hold their power until then. They needed alliances to keep in power. Alliances which came in the form of marriages.

“did my father mention anything about his plans for your son, mr. Huang?” sungchan asked. Mr. Huang didn't own a company or a business. He worked for his father but the man had connections which would benefit their family. “a marriage?”

The old man shook his head no. “not one bit, second jung. I believe he's keeping his sons marriages up to them.”

Sungchan scoffed. Up to them? That man would rather drink acid than let him and jaehyun marry who they want. The old man already has his eyes on jaehyun and someone from the US. They'll probably tie the knot there, which is really unfortunate. I mean, how would you feel when the person you're spending the rest of your life would come on as a stranger? Horrified if sungchan was to answer.
