2 weeks since the confession

Johnny never wanted to be a young dad. He very much appreciate the idea of having a kid by the time he's thirty, not nineteen. With frustration on his features, he sighed, “sungchan, I get that you're confused, having mixed emotions actually. But I don't think grabbing me by the hand and dragging me to your palace,” he motioned to the tall structure behind them, “is the right call.”

Sungchan was a mess. Jaemin told him ahead of time via phone call. The bunny warning him about how sungchan would be needing someone to talk to, someone to literally smack  or punch some sense into him. Jaemin also said that he was the right person for the job because he can (actually) pack a punch.

Sungchan shook his head. “It is hyung. And I know you would much rather be here than be in a stupid political meeting.”

Touché because sungchan was right. He would much rather be here than a political meeting. “okay, you win. What do you want me to say?” he placed his intertwined fingers on the table, raising his shoulders slightly as he leaned on the table.

“I don't know” sungchan replied. He really didn't. Ten's revelation was something that he took in reluctantly. He couldn't even look at his father last night during dinner, not that he usually would, but you get the point. It was terrifying to know that the reason why all the shit happened because of his old man. He sighed again, “how do you even look at your father in the eye after the shit he's done to you?”

He was always appalled by how johnny acted like his father didn't ruin his life. The man was capable of doing so many gruesome things and yet johnny could still smile at him and call him dad. Johnny could forget.

“I just do?” it came out as a question. Johnny too does not know why. Maybe it was because his father never acted different despite his actions and because he actually cared for him and donghyuck. Not that mr. Jung doesn't care of sungchan and jaehyun, he just wasn't the best father figure for them. “I...I honestly don't know chan but I don't think this is related to you and shotaro. Don't worry  jaemin filled me in. The bunny, when full of caffeine, can be a chatter bun.”

“it's about my dad and kun.” sungchan nodded in acknowledgement at the maid who served them tea. They didn't even like tea but it was customary to serve tea to guests. “ten told me kun met up with my dad recently.” he took his teacup by the handle, bringing it up to his lips before taking a small sip. He carefully placed it back on its saucer.

Johnny mimicked him, only in a less graceful way— tea nearly splashing out of the cup, a loud slurp, and clank once the cup was back on its saucer. “kun? Like the qian kun that is our school's supreme council president and like, the last person I played around with?”

Sungchan glared at the older man. The way he made it sound like they were fucking. They were, in fact, not fucking. Johnny meant playing golf. “yes, that kun. Also the same kun who's  best friend is the person you made out back in your freshman year. The same qian kun who—”

“okay, I get it” johnny stopped sungchan with a hand. “I get it. It's kun. The ever so capable supreme leader and every mothers' ideal in-law. Give that man an award because he's like barbie but Chinese and a man. Hey, you think he'll do great dressed as mulan?”
