Dallas' POV
Y/n lay down on my bed, and I sit next to her. Her hands are folded on her stomach.
"Dal." She says.
"Y/N."
"I'm gonna ask something, and I know you won't want to but, it would mean a lot to me if you did say yes." I got a little nervous because the things she asks can be crazy.
"Uh oh," I fall down next to her and lay my head back on her stomach. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I know it'll sound crazy to you, and I know what you'll say so it's kind of pointless. Besides it's a stupid question so actually nevermi-" She grabs my hand while talking.
"Doll, relax. You can tell me now what. Is. It." I look her directly in the eyes because she won't deny me if I am.
"I want you to meet my mom." My hand stops fumbling with hers for a second. I let out a half sigh and a half groan at the same time.
"I...I don't know, baby I am not the meet-the-parents type of guy at all. I've never had to do that before."
I wasn't lying. I've never met my girlfriends parents but then again I've never had a relationship last this long. I've also never felt this way about a girl in my life before. Usually they just come and go within a few days or so, not 7 months.
"Dallas I'm not going to make you do this and I'm not going to put you in some situation you don't want to be in, but I really want you to consider meeting her. I promise my mom is cool, she really wants to meet you." She sits up and runs her fingers through my hair.
"Yeah, until she finds out I was in a gang and sees my criminal record." She sighs at me and lays back down.
"I don't think we need to mention any of that the first time you meet her."
"I just don't know if it's a good idea. Listen, moms don't want to meet a guy who meets just some girl and ends up dating her for a bit, that also has a long criminal record and a gang." She pauses and sits totally still for a minute.
"Just some girl you end up dating for a bit?" I can see her facial expression without even looking at her.
"Well no, but my relationships never last long." I say looking back on my past girlfriends. She sighs and lifts my head up. She gets up, sliding her jacket on. "Where you going? Leaving already?"
"Uh, yeah, I'm gonna go." She doesn't really look at me while she slides her shoes on.
"You're pissed." I can tell something hurt her or upset her.
And I think it was something I said.
"What? No I'm not."
"You are. You're denying it and you're doing that thing."
She scoffs. "I'm not mad, Dallas." It just confirmed itself there. She doesn't really use my full name, just Dally or Dal.
"Doll listen, I didn't mean that you don't mean anything different to me, I'm just saying that-"
"I know, Dallas." She cuts me off. "You don't have to explain. I was just hoping for a little more than 'just some girl.'" She gives me a half-smile and turns around.
"Y/N c'mon..." I try to say but she's already out the door. "Shit."
I stand up and walk around the room, I lean my head against one of the walls before I punch it. "Damn it! Fuckin' idiot, Dallas."
