Katie was passed worried, her brother was a month late. Sure, travelling and trips sometimes meant one could be late returning due to storms or other problems but Matt would have sent word if that was the case. He would have sent a letter before hand thanks to his good gut feelings he got over the weather or danger.

But he didn't and she had already spoken to the police over him being missing but they were useless. If she couldn't tell them where he was heading than how where they meant to search for him. But at least they tried, a few officers did come to her brother and Lance shared place and looked for any clues and spoke around to see if anyone did any business with Matt.

But it all came up empty handed.

Damn Matt and his slyness over making sure she couldn't track him down for spoilers over his book. It was a real problem when something like this happens and they actually have to try and find him.

Lance, he wasn't much help at first either. For the first two weeks he'd shrugged it all off and just assumed his boyfriend was running late or got distracted by something on his way home, it's happened in the past. Plus, Lance had vanished the second week while Pidge finally went to the police station.

But now, a whole month had passed and Lance was on edge like her. Both looking over the boyfriends flat for any clues or hints since Matt at least always left a single word in case he did vanish.

But nothing came up until Pidge took notice over Matt leaving his pad of paper out. He'd normally tuck it somewhere safe or kept it by his side of the bed in case an idea popped into his when he was about to fall asleep.

Grabbing a pencil, she leaned forward and lightly scribbled over the bit of paper making an outline of a word pop up. Matt was rather sneaky with his clues or hints sometimes and if someone didn't know him as well as his sister, they'd never find the answers to any form of question that involved him sometimes.

"Ham?" Lance asked in pure confusion as he read the first part of the word, the rest of the word being a little too faded for him to read.

"Did he wrote a shopping list or something?" Pidge asked as she passed Lance the bit of paper to Lance before pulling out her reading glasses and placing them on.

"He doesn't normally write out a shopping list before leaving for a trip since I sometimes go towards my own digs while he's out too" Lance replied with a slight shrug, passing the bit of paper back to his younger sister, well, hopefully to be sister in law one day.

"So this is our clue .. ham. I might just leave him to die somewhere for this" Pidge sighed, rolling her eyes over her brother cheek, he'd clearly be laughing at them as a ghost if he was already dead.

"What do we do now? How are we going to find Matt if all we're got is his unfished shopping list" Lance asked, concern in his voice and panic in his eyes as he was seeing how hopeless this was becoming and they haven't even started yet.

"I'll speak with Coran. See if he knew what type of books or questions Matt had before he announced his latest trip. I'm working the long shift tomorrow and Coran hasn't got any meetings meaning I'll be able to speak with him" Pidge mumbled back as she folded up the bit of paper, tucking it into her jacket pocket before taking her reading glasses off and sliding them back into her pocket too.

"I'll go to the pub tonight and ask around if anyone's heard who was meant to be Matt tour guide or partners during this trip" Lance announced with a grin, rather proud of himself for helping.

"You just want to drink at the pub" Pidge corrected as she glanced to her brother, not believing his good will act.

"I just want to drink at the pub" Lance admitted with a nod.

"Got to the pub and drink, I work easier if I don't have to babysit you. But NO making trouble, getting into fights or get yourself killed. Also no causing trouble or anything that involves me bailing you out of anything" Pidge replied as she poked at Lance chest a little to make sure he knew the rules over him going off to drink.
