Katie jerks as though she's been electrified.
The mist finally settles into Allura's body completely.
The chanting priests and Lotor'S reading reach a crescendo as Allura crusty eyelids suddenly open.
Katie stares at her in disbelief before finally screaming her heart out as she suddenly relisize her death was the next part of the ritual. She can't control her fear anymore. She's given up and she's completely terrified. Plus her right leg is giving her inhuman pain thanks to the pin and needles throbbing through it. She hasn't heard a single gunshot for some time now and she's finally letting the weight of the last forty-eight hours hit her hard.
She did plan to die with dignity and act brave but that was before Allura rotted head turned and looked straight at her with empty sockets.
Katie admits that she was currently freaking out and started to struggle wildly. Before finally stopping as she takes notice over Lotor holding the ancient sacrificial knife.
"With your death, my love and I will be invincible!" Lotor speaks in his home tongue as he raises it up over Katie's chest, about to plunge it down.
Katie whimpered as she closes her eyes. Forcing back her tears as she'd at least not die crying in front of him. She felt her regrets pulsing through at once and wished that she at least got to kiss the one man she actually wanted a kiss from.
And that's when Lance and Matthew burst in at the top of the stairs. Lotor spins around and faces them both. An unamused frown on his lips before a smirk filled them as he took notice over Shiro not standing with them. He assumes he's at least killed one of the biggest pains he's ever felt and killing the two males left would be child's play for him.
Katie opens her eyes, tears leaking from the corner of her eyes as both relief, dread and heart break filled her at once. She was so glad her brothers were alive but now she knew Lotor could easily kill them for good this time around. And Takashi, she couldn't see him and like Lotor, she assumed the worse and knew she was to blame for his death.
"I found it, Pidgin! I found it" Lance beams back as he holds up the golden Book Of The Living for all to see.
"Shut-up and get me off of here!" Katie sniffled back. She wasn't going to insult them by telling them to run away and leave her, not when they came this far. At least if they freed her, she'd be able to die beside them instead of watching them die first.
"Or run. Running seems like a very good idea right now" Matthew mumbled back with horror as he noticed Lotor staring towards them like easy prey.
Lotor places the sacrifice knife down beside Allura head as he walks past the Alter towards the couple at the top of the stairs. His eyes solely set on the book as he knew he couldn't allow them to read from it.
Allura turns her head slowly as she watches her beloved lover start walking up the stairs. Her body stiff and not completely her own just yet and she stays still to rest. Relying on him to handle any trouble that came between them.
"Open the book. It's the only way to kill him. You have to open the book and find the inscription" Katie screamed out towards her brother's, knowing it was the only to save them and herself from Lotor.
