My breath coming in hitches as I fail to calm my anxious stupid heart. My palms sweating and a constant fear tugs at my heart.

I kept thinking about how the roads were perfectly lit and nonetheless the forest was all dark. All I saw was shadows even darker than the darkness itself.

I bite my lip and try to control the sobs, struggling to escape my mouth and I wipe the falling tear with the back of my hand.

"Hey. Hey, look at me"

He cups my face and raises it slightly to make me meet his gaze. I saw a pair of gorgeous stormy grey eyes boring into my wet eyes.

"It's ok. I'm right here", he tells me while his other hand slips onto my nape he lightly massages it.

" I-"

"It's alright Mabet. You're alright. I understand what you saw"

I nod and leans into his touch as I feel relaxation surging through me.

"We must be close to South, can you direct me to your resident", he asks softly.

I nod and with a cracking voice, I tell him the signs to follow.

"Sleep", he says staring into my eyes as his fingers skip my cheek and involuntarily I follow the command as the deep slumber takes me. I miss his touch.

I woke up with the sound of my heart pounding. I open my eyes and see someone so close to me. A bit too close to me. I could smell the arousing scent of their cologne. The light subtle of the beard I would have been able to graze if I shifted slightly.

With whom was I again. I try to remember. Realisation hits me and I scream. On the top of my lungs.

Him being startled immediately backs off. A hand sits over his chest while I hug myself to cover my already perfectly veiled bossom.

"Goodness gracious girl you scared the hell out of me", he says in a breathy voice.

"Why. What were you doing to me"

"Me. What would I do to you", he asks while pointing to himself. His expressions alarmed.

"Ohh. Girl, you sleep like a dead body. I was checking if you were even breathing", he says frustrated.

Now that's gotten a bit awkward.

"Sorry, Mr Cameron ", I mumble while tugging at the hem of my shirt.

"Yeah, whatever. Just go home", he shoos me away as he waves his hand dismissively.

I nod and jump out of the car.

"Thank you, Sir", I salute him with a little smile and walk to my home. I turn and see him driving away.

At the pavement stood a black heavy bike. I knew to whom it belonged and I did not want to see him but I go and sit near the person who already was sitting cross-legged close to my house door.

"I don't seem to remember calling any cops", I say while looking at the man who was with me at school.

"Yeah. We need to talk. That's why I offered to drop you girls"

"Yeah I had a class and no I don't think so. You don't have to explain anything"

His olive eyes search my face. I try to keep it blank.

"Look, you must be feeling deceived. I swear I didn't do it intently. I didn't even know I'd see you in North"

I chuckle. Would lying to me have been ok if I remained here.

"Just go away", I tell him as I stand up. My mouth itching to bombard him with questions.

"Please, we can talk about it"

"About what exactly", I challenge him.

"I can explain. Everything"

"Why Daniel. I'd just think you are on a mission at our school. And I won't slip a word either about your undercover mission or your bang bang in the stalls"

He looks at me with those sparkling olive eyes. An unreadable emotion reflects in his beautiful eyes. I look away.

"It's been a long day Daniel. You should go. We will see each other at school, yeah", I say and unlock the door, stepping inside and leaving him out.

I lazily take the stairs and walks to my room. Pearl was sound asleep on the cushions. I get out of my dress and change into pyjamas. I check my phone and there was no notification from my parents.

I sigh and go under the sheets. I should have heard Erzik's side of the story. With shut eyes, I think all the things that happened today, especially, Mr Cameron.

A sudden wave of lightheadedness hit me out of nowhere. And I couldn't open my eyes. Dizziness took over me and I felt the mattress dip a little bit.

"How was your day. I hope you had fun"

I could recognise that voice in a million people. Let me take your pain away. The softness and warmth in that authoritative voice. I breathed and tried to open my eyes. No use.

Who is it? Did someone break into my house. No how that could be I locked all the doors before going and checked after coming home.

"No. No one broke-in. And with me being here no one could", the same voice from earlier spoke up. But I didn't say anything out loud.

You being here is not less of a problem, I thought.

"Sorry about that. It can't be helped", a tender chuckle I heard.

A few seconds passed and I could sense them still there.

"Pretty cat", they said, amusement clear in their voice.

And with that, all the dizziness and lightheadedness vanished. I open my eyes and meet with no one in the room but me and my cat, Who was now weirdly staring at me.

I slump down and cry, " who the fuck are you. Hell no. What even are you". I was scared. No. I was terrified.

[A\N]: Yeah, A short one. Sorry :)))
