The rest of the night was spent shuffling on the humongous bed. I had called Zeek through the mind link. He hummed once and didn't show up, nor he talked again.
I was shook due to the shadowy charred burnt skin man. I'm sure it was not a man. Not a living man anyways.
I couldn't tell anyone about it but Zeek. Cuz I don't want to be judged or get suspected about my mental health. So I had masked away the terrified me and played around.
I mean no one wants to be seen as a ghost seeing crazy girl, no, right?
And the way Rogue uncle had said some stupid things, I was mad too.
It was five in the morning when my phone rang with the message bell.
I love the sound of temple bells.
Lo and behold, Mr Cameron texted.
Mister: Are you sure we were normal before?
I most certainly don't think so. Also, I'm glad he didn't think it was normal to let such things happen between a student and a teacher.
Me: Ha, you think!
Mister: then we could proceed to be whatever we were before. Like, friends, I guess?
Alright. It enthralled me. He was the youngest and most handsomest man\teacher I had ever laid my eyes on. And he treated me specially and nicely. I don't have to ruin the shit.
Me: Sounds, uh, ok. Sure. Zach the friend.
After hitting the send, I almost died. Why the hell did I write, "Zach the friend". Who says that. It'd give the wrong idea like I was wanting something else like all the other girls wanted from him and he hadn't glanced at any one of them. Because he's a TEACHER. I reminded myself.
Mister: lol ok. Why up so early?
I was up all night but no need to tell him that.
Me: And how did you slump so early?
Mister: Well, I dunno. I'm human I get to sleep whenever I want to.
Me: Oh no. No, no mister you don't get to do that. No normal human being can drag shadows with them and stop time and people.
Mister: Okay! We definitely need to talk about it.
A soft knock, I heard and sat up straight, ready to jump out of the window any second.
The room is perfectly lit, would that charred skin follow me here too.
"Yes"
"Your breakfast", the almond-eyed maid came in carrying a tray loaded with a bowl of fruit salad, 2 boiled eggs, toasts layered with Nutella and a jug full of pomegranate juice.
I didn't know what to say. Should I thank her? I never had a maid.
"Thank you so much"
She looked surprised.
"Oh no, it's ok. My duty. I didn't know what you'd like so I kinda-"
"No, no, don't apologize. I love everything in here"
"I'm glad you do. All thanks to Derek he told me your preference of juices"
Derek knew? Of course, he knew. Quoting Jane and Mia, "He stays quiet but that doesn't mean he's blind"
"Yep, I mean look at those captivating eyes. I'd still bone him even if he were blind"
