Holding my smoothie I saunter in the hallways, listening to the sad version of, "touch it".
"Remind me why we were taking a break. It's obviously insane..." I hummed along with it and trudged toward the locker room.
I turn the handle of the locker and it opens with a rusty metallic noise. It wouldn't have been noticeable if the halls were bustling with students right now.
The little door opens and a stomach overturning kind of smell gushes out.
My red and black checked shirt and black blouse from yesterday were shredded, gone off milk and rotten eggs had been poured over the clothes.
I instantly cover my mouth and back a few feet.
"Watch it bitch", a nasty voice spoke from my back. I follow it.
Nylie dressed in a pink top and white mini skirt stood there with her hands in the air.
"Sorry", I mumble but then I glared, "Did you do it"
"Did I do what", She scowled between me and then my locker. Then she started laughing.
She would seem beautiful if she weren't always a brat.
"Nah I didn't do this. But whoever did, they got you good", she said through bubbling laughter.
My free hand rested on my hip. Can't say I don't believe her. She sounded genuine.
"You been keeping a cow, love? and Ugh that some nasty smell", Derek popped out of the blue, pinching his high nose.
"It's your someone special's nasty stink", she smirked.
What does it mean, Derek's someone special? I was confused.
"What the hell Nylie. She is a friend. Stop with your fucking nonsensical immature shit", his jaw clenched.
Nylie's smile faltered.
"Did you do it Nylie? Was it you who messed up with her again", he asked as his eyes were now red.
"No. And I dunno who the fuck did it", she crossed her arms.
"Then who would", I asked particularly no one. Derek glanced back at the locker.
"Isn't there a note or something? There should be. I mean if they want to send a message they would want to be clear", Nylie said thoughtfully.
I shook my head in response as tears brimmed in my eyes. Derek bit his lips and I glanced down.
"100 cartons of sweet milk at Beacon hills", Derek said on phone.
"What are you trying to do", I and Nylie spoke in unison.
I hated that and by the looks of it, Nylie didn't like it too and rolled her eyes at me. I scoffed.
"What do you think Nylie who could do it"
"I'm not sure but my theory is", she stopped midway, "Oh are we talking now Derek", she scowled.
"Are you telling or not", he sounded even more pissed now. Nylie rolled her eyes again.
"Fine, you fucker. I'll tell you. After whatever happened yesterday, she walked out in your hoodie"
"What's the big deal", I asked. A shadow passed on both of their faces.
"Bish. You wore Derek's hoodie. Derek's hoodie and you think it's not a big deal. Fine. But it is a big deal for others. And yes you careless airheaded girl you deserve all the shit for being so clueless", she stressed every word out.
