I picked the freaking call from a new number that had been bugging me since this morning.

"Sup", I ask bitterly.

"You- girl, why the fuck are you sleeping with my brother", Nylie exclaimed from the other end.

"What?"

I DID NOT UNDERSTAND.

"Girl I just saw the fuckin photo going viral don't even dare to deny the shit. Everyone knows the rings Derek wears"

"Ahh... About that-"

"You know what. I don't wanna hear anything and I don't wanna see you again. Never in my ever fuckin life. Just get lost with your fucking face", she yelled.

"Excuse me, you got no right to tell me what to do and besides that, we didn't-"

"Did I ask anything? You're supposed to go, to leave, to get lost"

"Nylie", I said sternly, "You're no one to control your brother's lives. They can do whatever they want, they can sleep with whoever they want"

"Ok. But what do you want? I'll give you everything to leave them. Price yourself"

I inhaled deeply as the sweet smell of pancakes hit my nostrils.

"You wouldn't want me to become the bad bitch, Nylie so stop with your nonsense and let us live our lives", I cut the call.

Derek had the upper half of his hair tied in a bun and the lower half carelessly but charmingly surrounded his thick neck. Apron tied around and pulled up sleeves of his navy blue sweater.

I bit my lip. He did look hot. A bit too hot for me.

"I just got to know we spent the night in THAT way", I show him the viral picture of our perfectly fitting intertwined hands.

He glances at my phone and then at me, "are you ok with it?"

"Not exactly and who posted our picture", I yell out loud.

"Arnold, the mighty fucker of all fuckers", Mia yelled back somewhere from the bathroom.

I rolled my eyes at Arnold who was now smiling sheepishly.

"Who knew them would recognize him from his finger rings. That's so cliché"

"People were already crazy over me wearing his hoodie. Arnold. Arnold, why did you do that? It's just gonna bring even more aggression in our girls"

"Breakfast?", Derek asked tilting his head.

"Only this can heal my mood, Sir, bring it on", I wink and notice his caramel brown eyes growing darker as his lips part, close and then he blinks.

My cheeks heated as I realized what he felt there.

I grabbed the carton of cat food and poured it in the bowl and called for her, "Pearl"
"Baby?"

She came running and meowing.

"Good girl", she purrs under my hand and dug in the food.

We all sat around the dining table and had a delicious breakfast. Derek smiled charmingly at every praise and moan he earned from us.

"Whatever you put in there, Derek", I said taking a big bite and blew the chef's kisses.

"It's nothing special, Love", Derek smiles back.

"The one he sells at his restaurant tastes nothing like these", Jane pointed.

"He must have mixed his love in here", Matthew winked at Mia.
