Then I see you,

You're walkin 'cross the campus.

Cruel Professor,

Studying Romantics.

The morning after the yule ball the common rooms were all buzzing. Even the great hall was full of sniggering groups of girls blushing when a certain boy would walk past. Those who weren't doing that were terribly hungover from the many afterparties that had gone on, I'll let you guess who hosted the best one. What else could be expected from the first school dance anyone had experienced?

Fred and George, however, were thriving on the slight anarchy. They found all the doughy eyes hilarious, and the amortentia they'd slipped in the pumpkin juice had made things even better.

Of course they both thought it was quite funny until their own eyes went soft.

"Should we be blaming you two for all the sappiness?" Eris laughed, walking up to the pair with Atlas next to her.

"Us?" Fred tilted his head at her.

"Starting trouble?" George continued, winking at Atlas.

"Neverrrrrrrr," they said in unison.

"Can't expect them to admit it, I suppose," Atlas laughed, smiling sheepishly at George.

Fred couldn't help but stare at Eris. She was beautiful. She was always beautiful. The night before had been one of the best of his life, not that he would ever be able to admit it, at least, not until much later.

"So I'll be seeing you later, then?" Fred asked her.

"What, since I went to the ball with you we should hang out every day?" She replied defensively.

"Well I didn't mean it like-"

"I'm kidding, Freddie," she laughed, "but I'm kidnapping Atlas for the day, so you two will have to entertain yourselves."

"I'm sure we'll manage," he faked a frown as the girls walked away.

"So we're gonna pretend that didn't just happen?" George asked his brother as they continued their walk through the school.

"Enlighten me, would you?" Fred shot him a confused look.

"Alright Fred, we can pretend you don't like Eris," George laughed.

"You can't be serious," he scoffed, "you think I like Eris?"

"Did you not just ask her on a date?"

Fred began to speak but stopped, looking for the right words before continuing, "that wasn't a date, we're all friends I was merely asking the girls if they wanted to hangout later."

"That didn't exactly sound like it was directed to Atlas and me..." George teased, quickly getting an elbow to the rib, "Oi! You know I'm right."

Fred shook his head with a smile on his face and looked at the ground.

"You gave her the ring..." George spoke in a more serious tone this time, "you know what mom said about it."

"I know what I did," Fred looked at his brother, "I just hope she doesn't take it off."

"She was wearing it just now," George nodded, "don't do anything stupid."

"I'll stop doing stupid things when you ask Atlas out."
