Draco's POV:
I wake up late but still before Harry. I'm grateful that we don't have lessons this Wednesday as we would have been very late for class. McGonagall said this day is going to be devoted to inter house unity whatever that entails. I shower quickly and quietly carful not to wake Harry. I pull on a black turtleneck jumper and a black suit jacket and trousers. I put on a new belt and pull on some boots. I turn to see Harry still fast asleep. He is laying on his stomach his arms spread under the pillows. He is still naked but the sheet is covering one leg and half of his bum. I can't help but smile at the sight kissing his shoulder blades gently and heading to the living room.
I sit on the sofa and decide to floo my mother.
I try once but find myself bouncing back out of the fire. I try and fail again rather frustratingly. I sit back on the sofa hearing the fire crackle and my mothers face appear.
"Mother did you lock me out of you floo?" I huff making her laugh.
"No dear of course not. I didn't lock you out specifically I didn't have it open. It's your aunt Andromeda's birthday soon and I didn't want her to floo in unannounced on party preparations."
Well that does seem like a reasonable excuse but I still narrow my eyes at her not too sure.
"So how have you been dear? Where's Harry?"
She says happily.
I sigh deciding not to be annoyed, "I've been good. I was hoping we could go visit father again soon, together. Harry is still asleep I think," I say looking to the bedroom not hearing any noises.
"At 9 o'clock," my mother tuts making me laugh.
"He didn't get to bed till late. He's tired," I say in his defence making her smile.
"I'm only teasing dear. I think that is a nice idea. I know your father enjoyed seeing you. He had a few questions about Harry after you left but don't you worry I set him straight he isn't going to hassle you about anything."
I can't help but smile forgetting that I was ever annoyed.
"Thank you mother."
She smiles nodding curtly.
"Why aren't you in a lesson Dragon don't tell me you are ditching?" She says as if she suddenly remembered it was a school day.
"It's a stupid house unity day, Harry seems fairly excited about it but I have already heard a lot of the younger years say that they don't want anything to do with Slytherin so why bother," I sulk making my mother tut.
"That's terrible Draco, you should tell Harry. He wouldn't leave anyone out. Perhaps you two can sort something out."
"If I tell him he will just get pissed off that it's happening, there is supposed to be a ball that everyone is invited to tonight but I don't know how the Slytherins will get treated. I dare say a few will be nervous to attend. I know Harry would definitely stand up for anyone but I don't like him worrying about it too much he's done enough."
"You worry too much Draco. I'm sure Harry would want to know what is going on. The school must know about your relationship by now perhaps that will help with unity."
I can't help but chuckle, "I suppose it could. There is lots of speculation and rumours but we haven't confirmed anything. I suppose that way it can't get into the papers not that they wouldn't make stuff up anyway I suppose."
"Who cares about the papers?!" She exclaims surprising me a bit. "When is the ball?"
"It's at 8 o'clock tonight but I don't know if we will go. I haven't picked an outfit and I thought we could stay in with some friends."
"Nonsense, you should all go. You set an example to the younger students," mother insists making me roll my eyes at her persistence.
"I don't even know if Harry would want to go,"
I say with a shrug.
"Want to go where?" I hear a raspy voice say through a yawn. I turn to see Harry dressed in just some black boxers his tanned skin golden in the light, his dark chest and stomach hair standing out against it, he casually puts one hand down the front of his pants, rubbing his eyes with the other clearly unaware of mother's presence. My eyes widen in panic as I jump up attempting to cover him.
"Hello Harry dear. Nice to see you are up, perhaps you could put some clothes on too," mother teases making him blush heading back into the bedroom returning soon after fully dressed.
"I am so sorry Narcissa I didn't know you were there," he apologises for the third time as he sits next to me.
Mother just laughs shaking her head, "it's quite alright dear. I did raise a son, a much more feminine and much less hairy son but a son all the same."
Harry chuckles from beside me and I glare at him and then mother.
"I do have body hair thank you very much. I just chose to remove it." I say as mother laughs.
"Well you don't have to if it's hassle Dray. Who's going to see you but me anyway, and I will always think that you look amazing. I think I'd rather like it actually," Harry shrugs casually making my cringe as my mother hears what Harry clearly thinks is an appropriate choice of words to use in front of my mother.
"Draco stop fussing. Harry's only saying he would think you would always look lovely. I agree with him dear. There's no need to get embarrassed," she says smiling at us.
"It must be a family trait, always looking lovely. You always look so nice too Narcissa," Harry says cheekily making mother blush, a rare occurrence.
"Thank you sweetie," she says and I roll my eyes at them.
"So why aren't you going to this ball then Harry?" She asks changing the subject.
"I don't mind going. But Draco didn't seem all that into it. Something about not having clothes. Hermione said she didn't have time to get a dress either so we thought maybe we'd do something together."
"Yes not having clothes and the fact that Draco heard the other houses will not be involving Slytherin in anything. I'm sure there might be a few choice words too," she says smiling. I glare at her. She knows she wasn't supposed to say that.
"Is that true Dray. Why didn't you tell me that love?" Harry says turning to me but I shake my head to let him know that it's no big deal.
"We are going to go Dray, we have to love. Don't argue. We have to be there in support. Who better to show unity than us," he insists.
"That was exactly my thinking. I'm glad you think it's a good idea Harry dear."
I glare at mother and she smiles back smugly. She knows full well that she just manipulated that entire situation.
"And as for the clothes. Make sure you bring miss Granger here for five o'clock. I will have it all sorted. Draco and Miss Granger can floo over to me and I will have something sorted for you Harry and Mr Weasley I believe."
"Oh Narcissa you really don't have to do that. I'm sure Ron and I will have clothes. It's only Draco and Hermione that need some."
I rub Harry's leg gently knowing full well that mother is going to get her way.
"No chance dear. I want you lot too be the best dressed there. You are the example after all. I also can't have my son in an outfit that doesn't match his spouse. No no I will have it all sorted."
Harry smiles nodding grateful.
"You know my colours mother black, grey, green, gold, silver or teal. I'm happy for most materials, but lots of jewellery," I say knowing that it is best not to argue if mother has decided we will be attending.
"I know what you like my dragon. Trust me you are all going to love it. But especially my boys. You are going to be the most attractive couple in the room," she laughs.
"We are always the most attractive couple in the room," I quip making Harry grin and kiss my temple.
"That is very true dears. Of course unless you are with Lucius and myself," she laughs making Harry smile.
"Be here at five dears. And not a minute later, speak soon, kisses," she grins before fading from the fire
"I can see where you get it from," Harry teases, tickling my sides.
"And I can't believe that my mother saw you scratching your testicles," I tease back making him glare at me slightly horrified before jumping on me to attack me with kisses.
