Harry's POV:
"I don't know what you are going to tell mum mate," Ron says awkwardly and Ginny nods frantically.
"Just the truth, Lucius can only be at three houses and I won't leave Draco on Christmas."
Draco smiles squeezing my hand from next to me on the sofa.
"I'm sorry Harry," Draco says quietly.
"Nonsense love, I'm always going to be with you, especially for our first Christmas together."
He smiles and kisses me quickly.
"Well the Christmas holidays start in 5 days we have to sort it with mum soon," Ginny says and Hermione nods.
"Why don't you go to Harry's," Neville shrugs from behind the bar in Draco's room.
"You are all allowed to go there so Lucius can come and it's neutral ground."
"Oh i don't know we've had Christmas there before but I've never hosted."
"No it could be good Harry, I think it's a good idea Nev," Ginny says and Hermione nods in agreement.
"I can get the Malfoy elves to cater and get the house ready so it could all be done by the end of the week and we can extend the invitation to everyone now so they have time to decide," Draco says taking out a quill and writing stuff down.
"Yeah and I'm sure if we say we are going to yours then mum and dad will come too," Ginny shrugs and I frown not wanting them to be split up on Christmas.
"You should really see if they want to come first," I tell them but Ginny scoffs.
"I don't think mum will want to be at home for Christmas the first year after the war, it won't be the same so I think it will be nice," Ron says rather thoughtfully, his girlfriend holds his leg and smiles. We all know how difficult it is without Fred, I hope George would be more comfortable at my house.
"Maybe you are right. I'll send out the invites now before your mum invites me," I summon Draco's nice parchment and quills from the bedroom and start to write.
"How does this sound? 'Dear Arthur and Molly, I would like to invite you to my house to stay for Christmas. You have hosted and invited me many times and I am very thankful. Now I have a house of my own I would like to return the favour. I will make sure to invite everyone, please let me know if you would like to come.
All my love, Harry.'
I thought saying everyone keeps it vague."
"Good idea mate," Ron laughs Knowing that Lucius could be a problem.
"Harry, you should really tell them that father will be there," Draco scolds rubbing my arm affectionately.
"Maybe it can be a nice Christmas surprise," I say tentatively and he slaps my arm.
"I'd quite like to meet him actually, after he had me open the bloody chamber of secrets," Ginny says frowning.
"Oh he'll apologise in some round about way that isn't a proper admission of guilt," Draco laughs and I smile as I can't help but agree. It must be difficult for narcissa being married to a man that rarely excepts blame.
"Well I'll send this for now maybe you guys can break the rest to them," I say awkwardly to Ron and Ginny who narrow their eyes at me not liking the difficult job being left to them.
I seal the letter and send it with one of Draco's owls hopefully I will get a response soon.
I send a similar invite to the Malfoy's but informing them that the Weasleys will also be there. We chat for a few more hours into the late evening eventually being interrupted by an owl tapping at the window.
I pull the letters off feeding the bird and opening the letter from the Weasleys.
"Your dad says that they'd love to come, he also guessed that the Malfoy family will be there. He said it will be interesting," I laugh making Ron cringe.
"Well I'll leave it to him to tell mum then," Ginny says grinning and Ron nods frantically.
"What did father say?" Draco says ripping open the letter addressed to me. I raise my eyebrows at him and he giggles moving it between us so we can both read.
"They are also going to come and stay. Lucius seems quite excited actually," I say to the group and hoping like hell that this is not going to be a huge mistake.———————-time skip, Christmas Eve——————-
Draco's POV:
"Honestly love, sit down everything is under control," Harry says for the millionth time despite how many times I have told him that that doesn't calm me down.
"But it's not ready yet, they will be here at two. I can't believe you are going out," I tell him making him sigh and pull me down onto his lap.
"I told you baby, I need to sort out something for Christmas but I'm not telling you, and I'll be back before two," he says when I go to interrupt.
"The elf's like doing it you just sit here with me and Decide what rooms we are going to put people in," he says and I shrug.
"It would have been much easier to room everyone at the manor," i tell him again and he sighs sadly kissing my nose.
"Next year love, neutral ground at first remember."
I nod in response relaxing into his arms knowing that my parents will arrive soon as they were coming early so I can relax a bit till then.
Just when I start to fully relax in his lap the fire goes and I jump up as my mother and father step out.
"Wow boys it looks lovely, so Christmassy," mother says sitting down.
"Where shall I have the elf's put these?" Father says pointing to the bags and admiring a train set going around the tree.
"You guys can take my room it's the master bedroom and it's the only one with an en suite," Harry says making mother frown.
"Nonsense dear, that is your room and this is your house we are fine with the family bathroom," she says and he shrugs.
"Yes I'm sure one look from me will have those Weasley moving out of the bathroom pretty quickly," Father cackles and I glare at him as mother whacks him on the arm.
"Besides Merlin knows the things that the master bedroom as seen," father says with a shudder making Harry laugh. I glare at him and he smirks kissing my cheek.
"I'll put you in another room then," he says with a smile calling an elf and telling him where to put the bags.
"And then there will be a room for Arthur and Molly and another for bill and Fleur. Charlie, Percy and George will have to go together. Ginny by herself and as I am not Mrs Weasley and non married couples can room together the last room will be Ron and Hermione," Harry chuckles making mother smile.
"She is right. Only married couples should room together or you should at least insure there is a serious intention of marriage," father says and I roll my eyes at how old fashioned he can be.
"I shared a room with Harry when we were just friends," I sass and he laughs.
"It's different for you, that acceptable two male friends but not a male and female."
"Oh so no sexual contact before marriage only applies to straight couples?" Mother laughs and father shrugs.
"Maybe, it's not like you can contain boys and gay boys, girls have more decorum," father sasses and I glare at him.
"You really shouldn't say all this, people might think you prejudiced," i scold and he sniggers.
"Oh Merlin I must watch what I say, for no one would ever associate me with prejudice," father smirks dramatically. I glare at him just like mother but Harry sniggers making him smile more.
"Don't encourage him," I tell him and he attempts to stifle his laughter.
"Don't worry I will go over the appropriate topics of conversation while you are out, I still can't believe you won't tell me where," I say hoping he will finally change his mind.
"I'm sorry angel, but I'll be as quick as I can," he kisses me gently, "don't forget to offer your parents food and drink," he says to me quietly and I nod.
