Harry's POV:
"Draco, let me help you, stop trying to rush off," I say as he tries to rush up the stairs flinching as he steps.
"I want to get back quickly. I look a mess right now," he sulks still holding his side.
"Everyone is at dinner, anyway," I tell him as he continues to race up the stairs obviously struggling, "Right that's it, I'm carrying you," I say giving him a look when he goes to protest. He holds out his arms and wraps them around my neck. I grab his legs hoisting him up my body and holding him in place careful not to hurt him. He squeezes me making it harder to inhale.
"You don't have to cling on that tight love, I've got you," I joke feeling him relax and rest his head on my shoulder. I make it too his room quickly setting him down on the sofa.
"Look McGonagall has already arranged for dinner to be sent here. are you hungry?"
"A bit."
"I think the duck is probably for you but you can have either."
He eyes my fish pie apprehensively, before finally deciding it deserves a look of disgust. "I'll have the duck please."
I smile at him rolling my eyes and bringing over the tray of food, cutting it up for him helping him eat.
"I can feed myself you know," he says watching me wolf down mouthfuls of my own dinner in between his bites.
I shrug not letting him have the fork and continuing to feed him his duck, roast potatoes, green beans and tiny carrots.
We finish our food and I clean the plates and trays with my wand stacking them on the breakfast bar.
"You are probably due more cream Dray," I tell him making him nod, "I'm going to go and get you some pyjama trousers so you can be more comfortable."
I head into the bedroom picking out some lose black silky trousers and some fluffy socks. I grab a blanket incase he gets cold and bring our drinks over.
I help him out of all of his clothes dressing him in what I have grabbed from the bedroom. I sit on the sofa lengthways and he lays back onto me. I summon the cream and start to rub it slowly into his bare chest knowing he just likes the feeling.

There is a crack in the fire and Narssicas face appears.
"Dragon? Are you okay? The headmistress told me everything. That useless fucking school. Hang on I'm coming through I have permission." I startle at her presence as well as the uncharacteristic language she uses as the flames turn green.
Draco sighs in frustration as she disappears reappearing shortly after in his room. She wipes down her black velvet robes taking a seat and putting Draco's feet onto her lap starting to rub them.
"I'm fine mother. You have no reason to fuss," he laughs making her glare at him.
"From the looks of those bruises I do. What happened? Why weren't you with Harry? Why did you get involved in a fight without getting other people first?"
He shrugs, not looking at her
"It isn't Harry's fault. Maybe I should have got him before I got involved but there were lots of them and they were beating up little Ivan Dolohov I had to help."
"I see someone's reckless Gryffindor bravery is rubbing off on you," she sighs pinching the bridge of her nose. Maybe that is true, poor Draco.
"It's not his fault in any way. Harry stopped them," he says patting my hand encouragingly when I stop rubbing him.
I take some more cream working on his stomach and  side hoping it doesn't make Narcissa uncomfortable but she seems unbothered.
"I don't want you going out of Harry's sight from now on. Or one of your other friends. Either way you shouldn't be alone in this school."
"Mother! I am not a child. I am capable," he protests.
"Don't worry Narcissa. I will be walking him to all of his classes and picking him up. I'm not leaving him alone again," I reassure her making her smile and Draco slap the side of my thigh.

There's a knock at the door and I go to shift Draco to open it but Narcissa stops me, "don't stop rubbing that cream in. I can't stand to see him bruised."
I nod at her words slipping one hand under the waistband of his trousers to massage his hip.
"Oh um hello Mrs Malfoy, can we come in?" I hear Hermione's voice from the door.
"It's fine mother, let them in," Draco calls from the sofa and she does. Perhaps slightly reluctantly.
She resumes her position on the sofa as Ron and Hermione sit opposite.
"I have your potions notes Draco. I copied mine up so you don't have to do it," Hermione says placing them on the table.
"Thank you Hermione," he says smiling widely. She didn't make me any, I think bitterly knowing I'll have to write mine out or just ask Draco what it's about.
I continue to brush over his bruises feeling slightly awkward now that they are here as well as Narcissa. It is not the best circumstances to be meeting.
Draco shifts moving further back onto me and wincing making his mother panic.
"Are you sure there is no internal damage. I can have a much better healer than the one you have in this school here in a heartbeat."
"It's fine mother. I may have had some broken ribs but I took my own Skele-gro after I healed my own nose so it probably fixed it before Madame Pomfrey checked," he shrugs.
"You didn't tell me that angel," I say frowning at him.
"I don't want you to worry."
"How can you say that? I'm always going to worry about you my love."
"Me too," his mother agrees making him sigh in frustration.
"At least McGonagall is expelling Jason, he won't be able to hurt anyone here anymore," Ron pipes up making Draco nod.
"They should expel them all. Suspension is not good enough," I sulk and his mother nods in agreement.
"You need to run this bloody school Harry dear. Maybe then it might not be so useless and actually keep students safe. Merlin I have half a mind to hit them with a law suit."
"It's not that bad," Ron shrugs making her scowl.
"Not that bad, look at my son. And let's not forget what poor Harry has been subjected to here. There has been a man harbouring the dark lord, a werewolf and a madman in disguise all teach at this place. They didn't even close the school when there was a 60ft basilisk going around petrifying people. They let dementors onto the grounds, and let a minor take part in a life threatening tournament. Then there was that bloody Umbridge woman and her child abuse.
They let you two fight for years without trying to put a stop to this silly violence and now look it's still happening," she rants angrily, "all of you have been put at risk so much."
"Ooo let's not forget a headmaster that took Harry on dangerous school outings and raised him so he could die at the right time," Draco quips making his mother's eyes widen.
"When you say it all like that, it does seem rather bad," Ron says Hermione nodding.
"I knew I should have sent you to Beauxbatons. Your father was worried it wouldn't 'man you up enough' as you were so obsessed with the quality of the uniforms fabric."
"What? There uniform is much nicer," he shrugs making me snigger, he is so adorable and slightly insane.
"Well I know it's been hard for us all but I'm glad we all went to Hogwarts otherwise we wouldn't all be together now," I say kissing Draco's cheek and making his mother smile at us.
"Yeah me too but this school didn't exactly man Draco up either," Ron laughs making him glare at him.
"So I guess I had to deal with the poor uniform for seven years for no reason then, that is the biggest injustice that has taken place in these walls," he sulks making me smile.
"You are perfect the way you are and I think you are very manly." I laugh and he smiles triumphantly at my words taking my hand in his still glaring at Ron.
"And don't pretend you had to deal with the uniform. You made us get it all custom made in the style of the Hogwarts uniform," Narcissa laughs.
"Mother," Draco scolds when we all laugh at him, "you said you would never tell anyone about that," he pouts and I kiss his cheek.
"When I think about it, I always did think your robes were a different shade of black, darker." He just shrugs.
"Oi please don't stop," he says turning to me and using the hand on top of mine to rub his own chest.
I can't help but smile.
"Can you get my back too. I haven't been able to look but it hurts at the bottom."
I smile sadly nodding and his mother helps him stand, looking at his back.
"Draco," she says covering her mouth with her hand.
"What is it bad?" He asks trying to look over his shoulder.
I turn him gently realising I haven't really seen his back yet.
I grit my teeth at the sight, the bruising isn't as frequent but the back of his hip is slightly purple and there is a darker bruise with the distinctive outline of a boot print. He places his hand over mine making me realise how tightly clenched my fists are. I relax slightly and breathe in deeply. I definitely don't think I acted fast enough. If I had been a bit quicker i could have got much more damage done to them before McGonagall showed up.
"Oh Draco, I'm so sorry that this happened to you," Hermione says seeing what has got me so irritated.
"And I'm sorry that I didn't crucio them faster," I say angrily making Draco smile.
"I wouldn't have wanted you to get into trouble Harry," he says and his mother nods taking the cream from the table and handing it back to me.
"Here you go Harry dear, make sure he lets you put it on regularly. Don'to listen to him if he refuses it."
Draco frowns, "I am here listening, you know."
His mother tuts, "then you know that you will both have to answer to me if you don't listen." I gulp at her words not wanting to get on her bad side but Draco rolls his eyes, carefully sitting himself in front of me so I can put the bruise vanishing cream on his back.
I rub it in gently paying extra attention to the darker bruises. The shape of this injury only makes me feel more infuriated about how he got them. He doesn't deserve it. My poor Draco.
I kiss his shoulder blades gently running my hands up and down his sides. He stretches his long legs bending in a catlike way and I take hold of him pulling him onto my lap.
"You aren't going to leave my sight," I say into his ear making him shudder, "I'm going to make sure no one but me will ever touch you."
I kiss his ear and he lets out a tiny gasp gripping my hand and leaning back into me.
"Alright that's enough of that boys. You have guests," Narcissa scolds. I suppose she is right, I try not to look embarrassed especially as Draco only looks slightly annoyed.
"Would you like me to stay here tonight, I don't mind," his mother says patting his legs gently.
"It's okay mother. I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable and it really isn't necessary I'm sure Harry will be here."
I nod stroking his arm, of course I'm going to stay. I normally stay anyway so I'm definitely going to stay to look after him now.
"I'll look after him Narcissa. I promise."
She nods curtly at my words seeming to be content with me looking after her son.
"I hope I stop aching soon, I wanted to see father at the weekend. And I don't want my face to be bruised."
Narcissa nods in agreement, "yes that would upset Lucius. I'm sure it will be gone by the weekend. You better not go to your lessons tomorrow and put your cream on."
"Yes mother of course," he sighs.
"I'm not going either. I'm looking after you all day long, or maybe for two days. As long as there is a mark on your body I will be doing everything for you," I reassure him making him blush but smile.
"Thank you Harry. I will call you regularly. Draco you should take another dose of painkiller potion before you start to get ready for bed."
I summon the bottle over as soon as she mentions it and Draco drinks it without a fuss.
"Make sure you check on him regularly in the night Harry," Hermione says sternly.
"Of course. I got a pepper up from Pomfrey. I'm going to watch over him all night long."
Narcissa smiles standing up and hugging me. Kissing both Draco and I on the heads.
"I'll go now my darlings. You need your rest. I'll call on you in the morning."
Draco smiles dreamily kissing her cheek and waving goodbye obviously feeling the effect of the potion already.
"We will go too," Hermione says standing up.
"Yeah, I know you said Harry has to 'take care of you' Draco," Ron sniggers suggestively making his girlfriend glare at him and narcissa frown.
"You joke like I'm not making him get in the bath with me," draco giggles jumping up and leaving for the bedroom.
"Don't worry Narcissa. He just gets like that with the potion. I promise you I'm going to look after him properly."
"Oh I bet you are," Ron teases making Hermione slap him all the way to the portrait hole.
They say goodnight before leaving smiling awkwardly at Narcissa.
"I'm sorry about them Narcissa." I say and she just smiles shaking her head.
"Don't be. I'm glad you Draco has other people too."

"Harryyyyy, the bath is very warm and lovely," Draco calls cheekily, his pyjama bottoms shooting out of the bedroom and landing on the floor.
I feel myself flush as his mother laughs.
"I'm so sorry, it's the potion he forgets other people can hear him."
"Don't apologise dear. I know he isn't normally like this, he's much more uptight. I'm just glad that I will have this memory to show him. Maybe do a compilation to properly mortify him at your future wedding," she winks at me waving goodbye over her shoulder.
"Go on. Go look after my son before he accidentally drowns himself," she laughs stepping into the fire.
"Yeah I will," I chuckle, "thank you for everything Narcissa, i will give you an update in the morning. Goodnight."
She smiles bidding me goodnight and disappearing.
I smile at the fireplace where she just was turning to the bedroom and pulling off my shirt as I head into the bathroom to a giggling Draco.
