Harry's POV:

We reach the hall, not getting quite as many stares as before, which was a relief for us both. There was an outbreak of whispers as we bid goodbye to each other and went to our respective tables. I walked over to Neville and Luna who was sitting amongst the Gryffindors. I notice that a small group of girls, the ones Draco was talking to on the first evening, make room for him amongst them. He glides into the seat elegantly and begins chatting to them. They smile excitedly at his presence and seem to all talk at once. I chuckle to myself at his little army, glad that he has friends in his own house.
"Hey guys," I greet Luna and Neville. He smirks at me knowingly as Luna greets me airily.
"How have your classes been?" I ask her.
"Ahh they have been good. Hagrid's been letting me help out with the thestrals again this year and I think it will be unicorns next," she replies dreamily and I notice Neville lovingly smiling at her innocence.
"That sounds nice, I don't think I'm in Hagrid's good books, I was late for his lesson yesterday."
"You were late?" Neville quips, suddenly interested, I nod confused at why he is interested, I've been late for lessons many times before.
"Does that explain why Draco Malfoy was also late for Herbology, a class held at the same time as your care of magical creatures?" He asks with a smirk. I roll my eyes at his antics, why is he so obsessed with us being a couple. Luna also seems to be interested now. "Yes we were together," I sigh but, it isn't what you always try to imply."
He narrows his eyes at me.
"You would make a lovely couple," Luna smiles, "you'd make beautiful babies."
We both give her a very strange look. "I just mean if that were possible," she laughs.
"You so clearly fancy him Harry, you can't seem to be away from him, even now you won't stop looking at him," I snap my eyes away from the Slytherin table at his words. "It's the only explanation for how quickly you've become such close friends," he continues, Luna nodding beside him as she leans onto his arms. "All those years of bullying and teasing each other was just to hide the huge crushes you both had. It definitely didn't hide the sexual tension though, you could have cut that with a knife."
"We are just friends guys. We are so close so quickly because he's actually a really good guy and his fun to be around. We have not had huge crushes our whole lives. I've just realised how similar our experiences have been we understand each other. He understands me."
"That's so sweet," Luna says with a smile gazing lovingly at Neville.
"So you just want to be friends with him? You are sure?" Neville probes and I sigh.

Neville's POV:

I need to find out if they secretly feel the same way about each other. I filled Luna in this morning with all the information I had and she agreed to help.
"I mean I don't know what I want," Harry finally replies to my question. "Can I tell you guys something? You promise you won't tell Draco or look at me differently?"
We both nod quickly, throwing a knowing glance to each other.
"Yesterday Draco kissed that guy, Will, the one he was telling us about," I nod at Harry, trying not to show my shock, Draco so clearly likes Harry.
The expression on my face must have showed in some way because he quickly continues. "It's nothing like that, it was in front of me, the boy asked one of us to do it so he could see if he might be gay and Draco agreed. But the strange thing about it is that I just felt so sick, like I'd been punched in the stomach. I didn't want to look because it was so disgusting but I couldn't stop looking for some reason. I thought I must have been a bit homophobic or at least just grossed out about it in some sense. I spoke to Hermione about it but she just called me an idiot and told me to figure it out for myself."
Merlin how this boy was capable of anything, let alone defeating Voldemort is a complete miracle to me. He is so insanely dense. No common sense at all I think to myself with a sigh.
"Any way I have come to the conclusion that I'm definitely not homophobic as I can easily kiss Draco on the cheek and I hug him. I'd never want to hurt him in anyway so I don't want to always be disgusted by him with his future partners. I think it's maybe because Will is so much younger. That's basically the only explanation." He rambled. "No it isn't you utter tit," I mutter under my breath so only Luna hears, she stifles a giggle.
"I don't think I'd have a problem being with a guy, I said that to you before Nev. Definitely not one as good looking as Draco but I'm not going to ruin our friendship like that, not when he doesn't feel the same."
"I don't think you are homophobic Harry, but......I don't think you were disgusted because of Will's age," I begin slowly. He looks at me confused but before I can explain why he is an idiot. Malfoy glides over to him, placing his hands on Harry's shoulders. "Ready to go to potions, love?" He asks smiling and giving Luna and I a small curt nod. Luna smiles and waves at him and I nod at him also, thinking back to our earlier conversation. Harry bids us goodbye, thanking us for listening and telling me he will talk to me later. He leaves the hall trailing after Malfoy and linking their arm's together.
"I thought I was supposed to be the looney one," my girlfriend muses as I frown at her words. "Those two are far more than looney, they are completely barking mad if they can't see it, especially Harry, what a doughnut."
I chuckle at her words, kissing her forehead gently, not caring who sees, there is already speculation. "I think we might have to change the plan," I tell her and she nods in agreement, "we have to make them see it."
