Imagine…

You and Liam had been talking over DM for about 3 months now, ever since he had FINALLY followed you on Twitter. You played it cool the first time you DM’ed him, making sure he would actually want to talk to you. From then on, you guys had become like Best Friends!.. Twitter best friends of course.

You guys were talking for the 5th time today, and you couldn’t help but be smiley throughout the day, which meant questioning glances from your classmates as you slyly texted under the science lab table. I mean this was you, a normal Directioner that never thought this would happen to her, and you had gained the trust of THE Liam Payne. Liam had told you he was always happy whenever he talked to you, and that you made his day, even when he was down. The fact that he was famous didn’t even matter. You guys would have been “friends” no matter what situation either of you were in.

And Liam made sure you knew that. He always made sure you were feeling alright, and always said Good Night and Good Morning, no matter the time was where he was. He was just a plain, amazing friend, one that you could never bear to loose.

“Hey (y/n), can i askk u somethingggg?” He texted you later that night, when you KNEW it was almost 4:00am where he was. You were just getting ready for bed, as you had just finished up brushing your teeth with the light-up toothbrush Liam had sent you, and you got prepared for the next day by laying out your outfit.

“Yes, of course Liam! You can ask me anything, you should know that.” You texted back, getting into bed and pulling the covers over yourself.

“Well, we’ve been talking for so, so long. Even talked on the phone, and, oh did I mention I love the sound of your voice. Back on trackk, I know I can tell you anything. I feel like I can really trust you, and you aren’t just some fan. You have began to mean so much to me, and I want to know you better. We are having a concert near where you live, and I want to meet you so baddly„ because I think I love you. I need to touch you, I need to kiss you. I love you.”

As soon as you read the text, you caught your breath. You of course wanted to meet him, because you knew you had feelings for him too. Because of who he was, not because of his fame. But there was one, tiny detail that never came up in your conversations. You were only 14 years old. He was almost 20.

You began to cry, knowing that as soon as you told him, he wouldn’t be yours anymore. But you had to tell him the truth, no matter the price. He should know the truth, and there was no way out of it.

“Liam, you have no idea how much I want to meet you too. I love you too, so, so much. Not because of your fame, but because I really got to know you for you. But there’s something you ought to know. I’m… only 14 years old.” Your finger hovered over the key that would send the message and possibly end everything you had loved. You clicked it. ‘Message Sent’ the screen read.

You buried yourself under the covers, sobbing. He hadn’t responded for over 15 minutes, and you knew that was probably the last words he would ever speak to you. “I love you” The words replayed in your head. Suddenly you heard a ‘Ding’ coming from your phone. You quickly grabbed it, almost dropping it to the  wood floor. It was from Liam. You hesitated, but clicked open.

It read… “I still love you.”
