[ 𝟒𝟑 ]

Once the funeral was done, you, Ciel, and Sebastian (along with the servants) went back to the Phantomhive manor

You opened the carriage door for Ciel as Sebastian opened the manor doors for him as Ciel gave him his hat. "I'll be in my study" He muttered

"The young master looks so... gloomy.." Baldroy said as you replied. "I mean, no shit. We just came back from his aunt's funeral" You scoffed

Finny's eyes widen."I got it! Let's clean up the manor and make it sparkly so the young mas-"

"Oh no you don't" Sebastian said as a dark aura came from him. After all, we don't want to plan another funeral

"Sebastian's right. It'll cheer up the young master if you just sit still and do nothing and I mean nothing" You said with a sickly tone as you put on a smile

"She said it twice.." Baldroy said as he sweat-dropped

You were on your way to Ciel's study (since it was his tea-time) with a cart filled with scones and some tea

You knocked at the door, hearing a muffled 'enter' from the inside. You went inside, showing Ciel signing important documents. "Here you go, young master. A blended Lavender tea and to compliment it, some scones" You said as you smiled, putting the tea next to him

Ciel turned towards you as he replied. "Yeah, Yeah now lea-"

Ciel's eye widen. Your smile looked just like his mother's, as he rubbed his eyes, making sure that he wasn't dreaming as he could have sworn he saw his mother for a second.

"Mother.." Ciel mumbled, making you confused since you didn't hear him. "What was that young master?" You said as you tilted your head in confusion

"N-Nothing, now leave" He stammered, hand signaling for you to leave. You just furrowed your eyebrows as you left, after you bowed to him

You closed Ciel's study door as you mumbled. "What was that all about?"

It was 8:27 pm as Ciel yawned after signing documents and revising blueprints for Funtom. "Young Master, it's time for you to retire" Sebastian said as Ciel nodded in agreement

He opened the door, revealing you in his room as you were done with his bedsheets. "I prepared your bed for you, young master" You said as Ciel nodded lazily. You left his room to give Ciel privacy to change

You then heard Ciel saying 'Come in', making you enter as Ciel was in his bed without his eyepatch, revealing his contract with Sebastian

"What's tomorrow's schedule?" He said as you took out a book. "You have Social Studies with Sebastian, a meeting with Mr. Charles - the one who's been watching your factory in France-, Then you need to look at the next blueprints for Funtom's next collection and that is all: You said, closing the book

"That doesn't sound too bad" Ciel said as Sebastian tucked him to sleep. "Goodnight, young master" You said as you and Sebastian were about to leave until you heard Ciel

"Stay, both of you" He said as both of your eyes widen. "My, my. You're still a child at heart, hmm?" Sebastian said, with a smirk

"Oh shut it" Ciel said, before opening one of his bed drawers. "Here" He said, giving you a book. "Um, thank you?" You said, confusingly. "No, you silly. You both have to.. read it to me.." Ciel said as he was blushing with embarrassment

Before Sebastian was about to speak, Ciel cut him off. "We shall never speak of this. Now read, that's an order" He said, before covering the sheets on him. You opened the book as you started to read

"Once upon a time, there were stars that shined brightly. They all created a constellation and together, they were the brightest out of all the constellations" You read from the book as Sebastian continued

"Until one day, the stars soon lost their light, as they were each fading and dying. Only the weak star survived" Sebastian read out loud as you then continued.

"Until the weak star soon made a goal, by choosing to become the brightest star there ever was. It made sure that it was the one in charge, with a little help from two unknown stars, who were powerful enough to destroy the sky itself" You read out loud

"With only the weak star and two unknown stars, forming up to three stars, they created the brightest and strongest constellation there ever was, as the weak star was no longer the weak, cowardly star. It created a new name of itself" Sebastian said

"It was now a strong, courageous star as it was no longer scared. Instead, it was feared by the sky itself" You and Sebastian said, reaching up to the end of the book

You looked and saw Ciel, peacefully sleeping as you just smiled, putting the book back to where it was

"I wonder why he wanted us to read it to him" You whispered to Sebastian, as you were trying not to wake up Ciel. "I'm wondering the same" Sebastian whispered back as you both slowly left the room and closed the door gently

Little did they know that it was a fairytale that Rachel and Vincent Phantomhive used to read to Ciel all the time when he was little boy

Why? Well, because...

The Earl thought of the vision wielder and the demon as the fire never happened...
