Epilogue

Rivi's pov:

This feels so surreal.

Yet scary.

I'm all set to leave behind yet another phase of my life.

But this time this is way more difficult.

And then there is this certain set of brown orbs, I don't seem to forget .

And the emotion I have been noticing in them for last few days is making my insides flutter.

Sweet baby Jesus!!

What is happening.
I know what this is ,I have read about this .
But ....God! I know I'm in denial .

"Rivi!! Pumpkin! I'm so proud of you babygirl!" Dad pulls me out of my thoughts.

'Thanks dad' I say with the same enthusiasm like I've been saying for last twelve times in the last one hour he has told me the same thing.

And I've meant it .

Dad means the world to me and knowing that he is happy is such an amazing feeling.

Mum , zayn ,Jerry, girls, coaches . Everyone is so so happy.
Being back to academy probably for the last time is making me emotional

Dad had some urgent work so he'll pick me up in about 4 hours.

Mum and zayn already left ,making some weird excuse.
I know they are planning a surprise.

And grendel said something I never expected

"You did good. I'm impressed."
He has an ease in his demeanour, he never had while training me.

I laugh out loud.
'I never expected hearing this from you sir'

"I don't need you aggravated for the training tomorrow, so why not." He shrugs.

'Thank you sir. May I ask you something?'

"Have I ever felt you did good while training?"
He asks before I can

'I need to learn this.
This is exactly what I wanted to ask.'

"I have seen you pushing your limits everyday. You have motivated me sometimes, everyone around you to be honest.
Your efforts were appreciable a lot of times ."

'Thank you so much sir. This is overwhelming '

He nods with a knowing smile.

Major Adam and Chris sir also appreciated me.

This all feels great!!

Yet I feel gap in my chest.

What are you doing to me hardin!

And he has his training going on at the moment I can't go and hug him safe for as long as I can think of ,as much as I want.

I walk to Jerry's office.

"Sir is busy at the moment rivi , you'll have to wait " George says

Jerry genuinely has such a busy schedule sometimes I wonder how he manages to do so much .

'Oh , okay George. Bye'

"Bye rivi"

I'm just saying a goodbye to everyone before I leave.

I walk to the parade ground and sit outside it.

Grendel will have to let the boys guy at some point.

That some point came after ages.

But it did come, finally.

"15 minutes boys. I want every single one of you here."
