I looked at rivi,standing with her head low in attention.

*rivi?*

'I am sorry sir, I didn't mean to call you that .
And I assure you I will work harder.'

*you still don't get it kid.*
I say softly.

She looked at me ,confused.

*come*
And I started walking towards my office ,she followed.

I opened the door and gestured her to get in.

*have a seat.*
I said gesturing to the chairs in front of my desk.

I took my seat too.

*you know I see you as my own daughter, right?*

'Yes sir.'

*you can call me Jerry whenever you want , I am not dissapointed about that.*
I said chuckling.

She is diffrent from the cadets here, her world is diffrent from the army world and I am not going to try to mould her into a version she'll never need.

She needs to be tough for survival, for boxing .
And I am going to assure that ,but does she need to be trained tough enough to be quiet while being tortured by the enemies? No.

So that is not how I am going to get her trained.

'I am confused.
I get it I messed up bad. I should not let my feelings come in between my training but you were mad when I called you that  in the mess and now you are saying otherwise.'

*There is nothing wrong about feelings rivi, that's a human emotion and you out of all people must know it.
And I am not mad about that name*

She is  not clear yet.

This is the maximum I would ever need to explain my boys.
But again, there is a difference that must be understood  before taking any action.

*The problem here is lack of focus and attentiveness. *

*this is what I am talking about .you did not realise where you are because of whatever reason we will talk about that, but you need to keep your reflexes sharp and brain attentive to excel in kick boxing.
If you don't have undivided attention and technique along with hard  work then its just labour  and not a skill.

*That is what you have trainers for, that is what you need guidance for but in return we need your attention ,trust and hard work.*

She smiled.

* Now for the serious part , If it were upto me I'd not let you date anyone atleast for another 20 years .*
I said joking.

She chuckled at that.
'God! Jerry.
Dad is going to be so proud of you for saying that.'

*but on a serious note, I cannot let you ruin your goal .
It is okay to have feelings about someone, but keep that as a part of your life.
Decide priorities. *
