more than bestfriends

i walked up to the front door and knocked waiting for someone to open up. i hear movement behind the door and it cracks open. its nearly 2:00 in the morning and im gonna watch movies with my bestfriend.

" come in," y/n yawns and walks to the stairs. i close the door behind me and follow her. i stop in the kitchen to put the ice cream away.

i walked up the stairs and found my way to her room. it was really cold in her room compared to her house. " why is it always cold in here? it's literally 60 degrees outside." i say closing the room door.

" its not that bad," she rolls her eyes sliding under the covers. " what movie we watching?" she asked.

" fatherhood , the one with kevin heart. i heard its good." i state while kicking my slides of and getting into the bed next to her.

" okay , pass me the remote next to you" she orders and i do as she says. she goes to the netflix app and searches for the movie.

" you smell great" she smiles snuggling into her comforter. i smile in return and pull her closer to me. she rest her head on my shoulders and i just watch her face as the lights from the tv reflect off it.

" why you looking at me like that?" she asked. i know she knew the answer herself but she wanted to hear it from me.

i tried to not admit it to myself but the more we are alone it just peers back open. the jar that i took forever to keep close just started to loosen its seal.

" you're the most beautiful thing ive ever seen."

and the glass might break in the process. her mouth curved into a smile. she must think its a regular compliment. " and you're the most handsome thing ive seen." 

i smile and grab her hand , placing a faint kiss on it. " now lets watch the movie" she says trying to change the subject.

- after the movie

" thats the saddest thing ive ever watched, except for endgame" she pats the corner over her eyes.

" thats so heartbreaking that he had to go through that." i say. she yawns and gets up to use the restroom. i go on my phone for a little and tell my mom im safe.

the toilet flushes and the faucet starts to run. i get up from her bed and throw away whatever trash was there and dust of the bed. the door opens and she comes out.

" im gonna go now , thank you for the movie and ill see you tomorrow." i smile.

" ill walk you out," she says and puts on her slides. i open the room door and she walks out first. she reaches the front door before me and is waiting for me.

" dude it's freaking freezing outside" she shivers as we walk to my car. " thats why i told you to turn the ac up." i roll my eyes.

i set of lights drive into her driveway gate and parks next to me. " what the hell yall doing up this late? and what are you doing here mattia?" celeste winds down her window.

" we were watching a movie and where are you coming from?" y/n asked. celeste gets out if her car and locks it. " i told you i was at a friends house." she answers.

i lean against my car and look at her. " your lying" both y/n and i say.

" no im not , but whatever. i hope you guys used protection." she says running up the driveway. " celeste you bitch" y/n yells.

" it looks like you have someone to deal with , ill see you tmr. and remember ill be here at 5:30 p.m" i shake her shoulders. " okay , call vic and make sure she travels safely" she tells me and pulls me in for a hug.
