"So, how's it feel being famous?"

My gaze was ripped away from the several pictures of me in costume on television and to the girl sitting on the couch next to me.

"Not as great as I remember, actually. I got caught by paparazzi earlier when I picked up a pizza." I explained and chose to switch the channel.

Ahri blinked in confusion for a few seconds. "You picked up a pizza in uniform?"

Waving her off, I just shrugged. "Of course a civilian wouldn't understand the higher thinking of a hero."

She had come over earlier, claiming she was bored with nothing else to do, and had informed me of the others being too busy to come with her.

For some reason I doubted that and let her inside.

I mean, she hasn't latched onto me like she's been doing lately- and as soon as that thought crossed my mind, she reached out and held onto my arm, the same one I punched Singed with.

Good times.

"If you say so, Mr. Superhero. Remember, I'm the one who gave you your name, AND your job." The devious smirk on her incredibly beautiful face made me want to throw up.

Raising a brow, I chuckled softly, reaching out and patting her head between her ears. "Yeah? Well I'm the one giving you company right now, I could leave you to your boredom and just make you leave."

"You wouldn't kick out your best friend."

"Pushing it."

"Close friend?"

"Closer."

"Friend with benefits?"

"Wait, really? I like benefits."

"Yeah? Well your benefits are being in my presence."

"Ew, why would I want that?"

The girl pouted and lightly hit my arm.

Messing with her was refreshing, to say the least, but my mind was still clouded with things from the past week.

"Hey Ahri-"

"You finally said my name!"

"That Fox-fire I used, I haven't necessarily been able to use it since."

Her smile dropped when she realized the subject and nodded, motioning for me to continue as her hold on me tightened a bit.

"I can bring out the ears and tails easy enough, it's second-nature at this point, but I've only been able to make an ember before I feel like falling harder than I did for you."

I took extreme pleasure in the way her face lit up before she realized I was messing with her and cleared her throat. "W-Well, I guess that would be natural. It's in the name, it's not meant for humans to use on normal conditions."
