The midnight breeze chilled the silent night as 6 pairs of feet silently jumped from building to building. Their steps are silent and quick. " Ice. Can you coordinate a path?" The boy dressed in a green gi asked. " I can not tell which way they're going to go. Their path loops and backtracks on itself. They want to get us away from them." Ice answered the other Ninja as the 6 of them followed a Dark Soldier. " We can't let these things keep stalking (Y/n)." Water mentioned. " Exactly" Green jumped down from the building and into an alleyway with the others behind him. " So we need to-" Green was cut off as bullets shot through his body.

" Green!" The other 5 shouted and went to his aid. 4 bullets shot into the Green Ninjas' body. Near the elbows and knees. " Sorry Ninja" A man laughed as they walked over. " Leviathan Kek." Ice identified him. " You got too close to my soldier." He laughed and put his gun in his pocket. " He has, the information I need." Leviathan fixed his hair. " You know, it's a shame you're protecting the infected." He huffed. " Infected?" Fire asked as Ice got tourniquets over Green's wounds. 

" Yes. Infected. My family for years has been trying to stop the spread of the infection. I thought my grandfather eradicated it with the infected grandfather since we didn't see it with the father. Then she turned up, infected." He hissed. " What is this infection?" Earth asked. " That's none of your business. It won't be around much longer though." He laughed. Lightening got up to confront him but when he did that, Leviathan pulled his gun out again and shot him in the shoulder. " Ack!" Lightening stumbled back and held his shoulder. Water gasped and got up, applying pressure to his shoulder as Leviathan disappeared. " This isn't good." Fire muttered as Ice picked up Green. "Let's go to base and get the two fixed up." Water said as she picked up her boyfriend. The others nodded and quickly left the scene.

Last night was quite lonely not seeing the Green Ninja. Even worse I didn't see Lloyd nor Jay at school today. Zane said Lloyd got sick and Jay had a doctor's appointment. I was, still worried. I was losing hope on seeing the Ninja tonight as I shut my eyes. I was so close to falling asleep when I heard my window slide open. " Really gonna fall asleep on me?" I giggle at the voice and sit up as the Ninja slid into my room. " If you're gonna fall asleep, close your window and lock it. Actually, just don't leave it open for me ok." He sat next to me. " Yeah yeah, sorry. Why were you here yesterday?" I asked.

"Aww, missed me that much?" He winked as a joke. I blushed slightly and looked away. " Heh. But no I was shot four times." He mentioned like it was no big deal. " What." " Yeah, we were chasing down a Dark Soldier when Leviathan came around and shot me. For the cost of my injury, we know why he is hunting you down...Sort of" I leaned closer to him. " He said, you were infected. They thought the infection stopped at your grandfather but it spawned again in you. Do you know what he is talking about?" He asked me. I shook my head no.

" Dammit." He muttered. " Earth suggested that the infection isn't an actual infection, but we have no evidence to prove his statement. We, actually have nothing. This guy is good at keeping himself and his work secret." The Ninja rubbed his arm near where he got shot. " He keeps his words vague and his location a mystery. He's learning more about us than we can about him. I'm scared to fight him and him know all our moves. What could we do then." He sighed and held his head.

" Then you fight differently," I suggested. He looked at me. " Like, you guys are sneaky ninja. What if you were. What if you were, more upfront while attacking. Maybe throw in a little animated movie dancing" I danced in place which earned a laugh from the ninja. " This ain't a movie love." He chuckled. Thank goodness the room was dark. I don't know why him calling me love made my cheeks warm up. They shouldn't, this man is at least in his twenty and I'm only a high schooler. Plus, my eyes are on someone else in green.

" They expect the utmost intelligence. Sort of formal with ancient techniques as well. And once you change that, they'll get thrown off guard." I smiled at him. " That's... actually pretty smart. I'll have to suggest that to the others. Thanks (Y/n)" He stood up. " Well, I guess, that concludes my visit. Wish I could make it longer, but I cant. Ill see you another day." The Ninja started to climb out my window. " Bye Green Ninja." I waved. " Wait!" I called out as he was almost completely out the window. " Yes?" " Can I see you without your mask?" " Ha, in your dreams" He winked and slipped out.

As the Green Ninja landed on the ground, he dusted off his gi and turned to the side where he saw a boy with black hair and green streak in it. " Morro? What are you doing out here?" The ninja said lowly as the sound of my window shutting and locking was heard. " My room, we need to talk." Morro got up from the patio chair he was on. He opened the backdoor and lead the ninja back inside the house. " You could have just texted me" The Green Ninja said as the door to Morros room shut.

" Im extra, you know this" Morro looked through a storage bin he kept hidden. " Yeah, like how you-" " Shut up" Morro cut him off as he found a folder. He slapped it down on his desk and opened it. The Ninja looked at it confused. Morro pulled out a picture of a now-deceased woman. Her expression was blank and she had a large birthmark over the middle of her face. " Who is this?" The Green Ninja asked. "Nubia Kek. Last name seem familiar?" " Obviously." The Green Ninja rolled his eyes.

" Nubia is Leviathan's grandmother." He pulled out another picture with the same woman and a man. " That's, his grandfather. You said that Leviathan said that his grandfather tried to get rid of the infection right?" The Ninja nodded. Morro pulled out an old letter.

' He finally did it oh my sweet Khufu did it. Rid of that disgusting infect Xno had. He's gone. And so is the infection. You won't have to worry my child about continuing what your father did. Thema, we will visit you soon for a celebration. I cannot wait to see you and Leviathan.

" So this confirms what Leviathan said was correct. His grandfather rid of the infection. But it shows who really did kill Grandpa Xno. It was, Khufu." Morro sighed. " Where did you even find this?" The Ninja looked through what was shown to him. " It was, a lot of late-night investigating. Trust me, I can slip into almost anywhere." " Noted." The Ninja hummed. " This is good lore, but it does nothing to help us." " Not directly." Morro directed the ninjas attention to his computer. Morro typed in a website into his search bar and it gave him a blank black page.

Morro typed the words, Khufu and Nubia, into the emptiness and the page redirected him to a log of journal entries made by the same man that shot the ninja 4 times. "Leviathan's digital journal entries," Morro smirked. "How... How did you find this?" " Only shit you have no clue the struggle it was to get to this point. I had to link into the dead soldier my sister apparently killed and it gave me the link but it was broken up. It took so many tries until I put it in the right order. Then with the password, I tried everything I could. That's when I found his grandparents' names. I put those in and bam, journal entries." Morro cracked his neck.

" This is perfect. Morro, text me the address and the names ok. I'll look over this with the others." " No problem." Morro grabbed his phone. " Your efforts are helping a lot." The Ninja pat his shoulder. " Anything for my sister." Morro sighed. " I also just, wanna help. As, an apology. I really am sorry." " I know you are. That's behind us now. You're forgiven, Morro. I forgive you."
