Midnight. 12:00. However you wanna frame it but that was the time. And I couldn't sleep. My Green Ninja T-Shirt hung loosely over my torso. My PJ pants slightly pushed up from me changing positions too many times. I sigh and got up. I go over to my window and pushed it up, taking the screen out. A walk usually helps me go to bed. I slipped on some shoes and a jacket before standing on the window.

I lifted out my foot before jumping onto the nearby tree. I climbed down the large tree and landed on the ground. I existed the backyard and started my nightly walk. The slight breeze made it even colder than it already was. It was nearing December which meant Winter break and Christmas! My family already have decorations up and are planning a Christmas party which I can't wait for!

I sighed and watched my breath cloud up in the cold air. I pulled my jacket closer to my body. It smelt like a fire outside. Someone must have had one. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. Chilly air and the smell of a campfire always made me smile. I rubbed my arms to warm myself up. It was awfully cold out. Maybe I should head home now.

Except where the fuck is home? I opened my eyes and found myself in a completely different area. I wasn't in my neighborhood anymore, instead found myself in a backstreet behind some buildings. " What the hell? Where am I?" I looked around. I didn't even have my phone with me so I couldn't even use my GPS to get home. I sighed and turned around, hoping I would just lead myself home.

But instead, I almost got shot. I gasp loudly as I heard a gun being fired. The bullet just barely missing me. " Target Acquired." A robotic voice stated. The figure hidden in the darkness. I wasn't gonna stick around and die so I started running. I begged that someone would have heard the gunshot and come outside.

I ran for a bit and the person fired again, this time hitting the back of my shoe. I fell down and my sleeve ripped slightly. I quickly pulled myself up and scooted back as the person came closer to me. Their entire outfit was just black and purple. Their biker helmet was mostly black with a purple visor. Purple triangles were painted on the side and top of the helmet.

Their black jacket had one side with purple lines. Their sleeves were rolled up showing their gloves with two triangles on the side. Their sharp purple nails were either part of the gloves or ripping through them. Weapons were placed in every spot they could be in. I backed away as far as I could but they just kept coming closer. I held up my arms and blocked my face. I knew this was the end.

A sudden shout and the sound of glass cracking startled me. I moved my arms and opened my eyes to see the one and only, Green Ninja. He grabbed the person's head and smashed it into the wall. Breaking their helmet more. The person tried to grab a knife from their leg holder since their gun was on the ground but the Green Ninja snatched it and jabbed it into their shoulder. A robotic screech erupted from the figure. 

They wiggled out of the Ninja's grasp and ran off, muttering to something to themselves, or to someone else. The Green Ninja stared at them for a moment before turning to me. His beautiful green eyes seemed familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The Green Ninja stepped closer to me and held out his hand. I gulped and took his hand.

The Green Ninja pulled me up, " Are you alright?" His voice was familiar too. I nodded. " Good. Let's get you home now. Where do you live?" The Ninja asked me, not taking his hand off of mine. I told him my address. " That's a bit far from here. Why are you out here?" He asked while starting to walk and letting go of my hand. " I was just out walking and I guess I spaced out and ended up here." I followed him.

" Alright. I have a question. Did you hear anything that person said, if anything at all?" He asked me. " Yeah, they said target acquired at that's it," I remarked. " Target acquired. Hm, why would you be their target?" He questioned, putting his hand around his chin. " Wait. I'm an actual target, not just some random person they made their target?" I asked, a bit scared.

He nodded, " Yeah. Me and the other Ninja have seen others like them. They don't attack people unless they start it. If they suddenly just shot at you, you must be the person they were looking for." I gulped and looked down. " Why would I be targeted?" I muttered. The Green Ninja shrugged, " No clue kid. But until we figure who made you their target and we shut them down, that question will be unanswered."

" But for now, I don't want you out at night anymore. If you are caught outside at night with no one with you, we are gonna lock you up in your house and can't go outside for anything. And dont leave your house without someone with you or at least others around. And no posting where you are or what you are gonna do on social media Got it?" The Green Ninja informed me. I pouted since I loved going on night walks, " Got it Mr. Green Ninja sir."

" And don't pout. It's for your own safety." He crossed his arms. " We're nearing your house. Is anyone awake?" He asked. " Most likely not." I rubbed the back of my neck. " Alright, I want you to get back inside and go to bed. No going out anymore." He told me as we finally got to my house. I nodded and went into the backyard.

 The Green Ninja watched me with confused eyes as I started to climb the tree. " What are you doing?" He asked. " Trying to climb back into my room," I struggled. He sighed and grabbed me by my waist. He jumped onto the tree and into my room. He put me down and looked around, " Not bad of a room." He complimented before going back out of the window. " Remember what I said, kid." He reminded me before leaving.

I watched the Ninja go before putting the screen back in and shutting my window. I took off my shoes and jacket. I laid down in my bed and just stared at the ceiling. It was 1 am and I just meet the Green Ninja. I also just figured out I am being targeted for the First Spinijtzu Master knows what. I sigh and close my eyes, " Why me?"
