Lunch was fun. Cole and Morro mostly talked about their favorite bands and just overall music topics. I discussed the best candy with Lloyd. Jay was explaining some sort of game to Zane who looked so lost. Nya and Kai had an arm wrestling challenge then tried to come up with the best insults for each other. These guys are so weird, but they're so cool. 

" For the last time, jolly ranchers are not better than lollipops." Lloyd hit his hand on the table. "They're like the same thing but with a stick." I jokingly said, eating my salad. " No, they are not, they are so different. Have you ever had a jolly rancher or lollipop?" Lloyd looked at him with an angry confused look. I couldn't hold in my laugh. " Lloyd! I'm pulling your leg. I know they are different." I laughed loudly.

Lloyd sighed before laughing as well. " You ass," Lloyd said in between laughs. He covered his mouth as he laughed. But Lloyd's laughing was so interpreted by him gasping as milk was poured on him. " Woops, sorry Garmaboy, I thought you were the trash can!" Some random asshole laughed. Lloyd sighed and looked down. 

" Dude can you lay of Lloyd. He hasn't done shit to you!" Kai glared at the guy as I helped wipe the milk off Lloyd. It was spoiled milk too so extra gross. Lloyd smiled at me and took off his now freshly stained jacket. He had just washed it the night before too from when apple and cranberry juice was split on him. 

But then someone else split chocolate milk on him. Onto his pitch white shirt. Now he is down a jacket and shirt. It's white too! The girl who split the chocolate milk giggled and walked away. " Can you guys fuck off?" Morro growled, stabbing his fork into his food threateningly. "Like, he goes through enough bullshit, can't the guy get a day off? How about you leave him alone forever?" 

" Morro? I thought you were cool? Why the fuck are you defending Garmaboy?" The asshole questioned. " Oh I don't know, maybe because I have fucking morals and aren't a complete asshole? It's people like who how actually become villains, not Lloyd." Morro scoffed. The guy just stared at him before rolling his eyes and leaving. Morro flipped him off.

" You alright Lloyd?" Nya asked once the guy left. " Yeah yeah, I'm just... I'm just going to go change into the spare shirt I brought. I'll see you guys later." Lloyd got up. He grabbed his lunch bag and walked away. I watched him go sadly, " Poor Lloyd. He really doesn't deserve this." I turned away. " He really doesn't." Nya agreed.

Lloyd didn't return by the time the lunch bell rang. I was a bit worried but Kai told me that it was normal and that he would go check for him in the bathroom before class. That made me a little less worried but until I see Lloyd in 6th period, I'm gonna worry. I walked with Cole and Jay to 4th period since we all had it together. " Has it become a norm for stuff to be split onto Lloyd that he brings spare clothes?" I asked the two. Cole sighed, " Yup."

We entered the classroom and took our seats. We didn't have assigned seats in the class so every day we could change seats so that means I sat with Cole and Jay. The subject we were learning was poetry. I was interested in poetry more than the other two. Jay thought it was stupid and Cole just didn't care for it. They must be fun at parties. Actually, they probably would be really fun. Dammit, my insult backfired!

Health class wasn't that much of a buzz either. That was because we were learning about mental illness and such. It was more of a sad topic with depression, anxiety, suicide. Morro seemed really focused on the part where we learned how to deal with mental illness. I was going to have to ask him about that. Zane was very involved with answering questions. I bet everyone loves having a class with him since he always puts his hand up.

We went into how to check for signs/reasons that someone is depressed or suicidal. I could hear people snickering saying that Lloyd was showing signs and they hoped he would hurry up and do it. Hearing that just, aggravated me. Morro noticed me tensing up and grabbed my hand tightly. " Don't do something stupid." He whispered. " But-" " No." Morro glanced at me. I sighed, " Fine.

Finally came photography class. The reason I'm even interested in photography is that my dad is a photographer. Though I think he has other reasons than just that he likes taking and selling pictures. But anyways, I had Lloyd in this class. He didn't show up at first. The bell rang and there was still no Lloyd. But 5 minutes into class, the door opened, and in came Lloyd with a big bandage over his cheek and a black eye already forming.

" Lloyd Garmadon I better hope you have a late slip." Mrs. Lila crossed her arms. Lloyd pulled out a late slip from his back pocket and handed it to her. She made sure it was legitimate before sending him off to his desk. I looked over at him as he walked over to his desk. He sat down and placed his head into his arms. " Head up Mr. Garmadon." Mrs. Lila huffed. Lloyd looked up but still had most of his face in his arms. 

Mrs. Lila told us that today we should be fixing up our photos in our chosen photo editor since our assignment was due today. I pulled out my laptop and turned it on once she released us to work. I opened up photoshop and pulled up my picture. My dad already uses photoshop so both me and him can use it but only pay one subscription. 

 I glanced over at Lloyd who was just staring at his laptop, trying to figure out what to fix, or he was just spaced out. I looked back at my own laptop and worked on my picture. It was a picture of a pond with ducks in it with one of the Ninja sitting in front of it. It was the Green Ninja. He looked so peaceful while watching the ducks. He was sitting in a way that his side faced towards the camera. The way I shot the picture made him positioned on the right of the picture. He just seemed so calm. Somehow he was just, calm.

I know I know, the story is going by super slow so far with a single school day taking chapters to finish. I won't be spending chapters on a single school day after this chapter. The original book went by too quickly and I don't want that to happen again so some things will be slow. My apologies but I do hope it makes it more enjoyable than the original. I will also be starting to put unedited and edited for grammar errors. Thank you for reading chapter 4 of the remake of Shadowed Love.)
