Danton Black...

"Barry, what happened?" I asked him at his crime lab.

"Simon Stagg's head of security was killed last night." he told me.

"Can't be a coincidence that Stagg's event was targeted last night." I reminded him of the events of the previous night.

"Joe went to interview Stagg." he looked down at the floor.

"Still fighting?"

"Yeah. Just him telling me how I 'belong here.'"

"There's something else..."

"Iris came in and I may have sped told her how I feel."

"Damn Barry. And I thought it was bad being single with no one else." He just gave me glare that said to shut the hell up. There was a beeping and Barry went over to check his computer.

"That's impossible. These skin cells belong to the murderer, but these cells are naive. STEM cells that they can replicate and become any cells the body needs. They only come from babies."

"But, there's no way that our murderer is a baby."

"What if they're a meta human? One that can replicate themselves."

"That might work."

We ran to S.T.A.R. Labs, but before we got there, we heard reports of an attack at Stagg industries.

"Joe." I reminded Barry.

"You go to S.T.A.R. Lab . I'll take care of our meta."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, now go."

"It's been a half hour. I'm going after him!" I told Caitlin who was in the cortex.

"Maybe going after Barry and a meta whose powers we have no idea what they're limits are isn't the brightest idea."

"He should be back by now. I told her before running off. I circled Stagg's building and found Barry unconscious against a fence.

"Dammit Barry."

"Sorry." Caitlin said as Barry winced at the gauze Caitlin patted on his face. "The abrasions are already rapidly healing." She told us.

"Yeah, I got my ass handed to me."

"You should have called me Barry. We would have been able to overpower this guy. If not we could have gotten our ass beaten together." I joked.

"Sure. Next time." he said sarcastically.

"You got blood on our suit." Cisco told him.

"I think some of it belongs to him." He answered. 

"Another not so friendly meta human." I added. Dr. Wells pulled up a file on someone and we all diverted our attention to the screen.

"Danton Black. He's a bio-geneticist specialized in therapeutic cloning. Growing new organs to replace failing ones."

"Apparently Stagg stole his research and then fired him."

"I saw Black create duplicates from his own body." Barry informed us. He likes to take on the metas alone though, which makes it hard for me to find my footing.

"That's pretty ironic." I said.

"The guy specialized in cloning and now he can make xeroxes of himself." Cisco added.

"If he was experimenting on himself when he was exposed to the dark matter wave released by the particle accelerator explosion-"Dr. Wells started before being cut off by Cisco.

"Meet Captain Clone." I gave him a weird look.

"Cisco, you and I can do so much better than captain clone."

"Where are you going?" Caitlin asked Barry as he headed for the door.

"Joe was right. I'm in way over my head. Yeah, I'm fast, but I'm no warrior. Man, I could only fight off one meta-human let alone six."

"Barry. I understand." Wells told him.

"Dr. Wells, how can you condone to this-" I started to ask him before I was cut off.

"Today was a setback. But any grand enterprise has them. And we can never learn to fly without crashing a few tries."

"This wasn't a grand enterprise Dr. Wells. This was a mistake." He left without another word.

A/N

I forgot to say this at the beginning of the book so I am going to say it now; I do not own any of the characters, or story lines. The only character I own is Rebecca Allen and her backstory.

Just a note in advance, when Snart comes into the story, he will not be as cold hearted to Rebecca because I feel like I can advance their characters together.
