"Tockman." I heard Singh say over radio. Tockman had tied our wrists together with zip ties on and moved us to the center of the room. "Tockman." He picked up the radio. "Tockman!"
"I am presently in control of eight of Central City's finest, three underpaid assistants, and two very brave civilian girls." He told Singh.
"You've got demands; I wanna hear them. But first let the civilians go." He demanded.
"Would you prefer I sent them out alive or dead? Please be more specific. One helicopter, one vegetarian takeout meal, one laptop with eight gigabytes of ram will be delivered on this roof at exactly 53 minutes and 27 seconds from now, or I shoot a hostage."
"There is a citywide blackout. I'm gonna need more time." Singh explained.
"Captain, you may delay, but time will not."
"Benjamin Franklin." Joe and I said simultaneously.
"Very good detective." He turned to me. "And unnamed civilian."

"End this now and I'll talk to the D.A." Joe tried to negotiate with Tockman, who was staring out of the window. At these words however, he turned around to face us.
"It was your district attorney that denied me furlough, so I could visit my dying sister one last time, say goodbye to her in person." He shook his fist in frustration and yelled, "THAT'S TIME I'LL NEVER GET BACK!" Joe nodded his head. I turned to see Eddie who had his gun raised at Tockman. My eyes opened widely, but it's like I'd been frozen in place. "So however long I have left in this life, I promise not one second will be spent on a prison cell." I was still frozen when Eddie shot him, but Tockman didn't fall. Instead, he pulled the trigger on his own gun and Eddie fell to the floor covered in blood.
"Eddie!" Iris screamed as his body hit the floor. I looked back over to Tockman who pulled off his shirt, revealing a bullet proof vest. He grabbed the walkie talkie and walked over to us.
"An officer was just shot 9.2 seconds ago." He spoke into the transmitter. "I'd pick up the pace in meeting my demands, captain." He suggested.

"Please, he's bleeding." Iris begged Tockman. "You have to let us get him some help."
"You'll stay where you are." He pointed the gun at Iris from his seat on the stairs.
"And while you're killing time, he's bleeding out." Joe pointed out. Tockman laughed and got up.
"As if you could kill time without wounding eternity."
"Henry David Thoreau." Joe and I said simultaneously again.
"Ooh, good." He stood over Eddie's body. He took off Eddie's tie and wrapped it around his injured arm. "A little battlefield trick." Eddie screamed as Tockman dug his finger into the wound. "If he lives long enough to receive medical treatment," He rubbed his bloody finger across Eddie's forehead. "They'll know exactly what time the tourniquet was applied." He looked back up at Joe and I. "What? No thank you?"
"They call the Clock King, right?" Iris asked him, making his attention shift away from Eddy.
He sighed. "A somewhat florid appellation, but I've grown to see the humor in it."
"You're going back to prison." I said bluntly.
"Really?" He laughed. "And how do you reckon?"
"Because the flash and velocity are coming." I looked down at Iris' words. As far as I knew, Barry still didn't have his powers. I assume our meta had something to do with the blackout. And I was trapped. If I used my powers, my identity would come out and I couldn't have that.
"Oh." He said sarcastically before getting up. Iris looked up at the ceiling.
"Oh, where are you?" She asked up into the air.

The helicopter blades ripped outside the presinct. Tockman looked at his watch. "Early." He muttered. He grabbed his gun and made his way over to me and Iris. "You ever seen the city at night by helicopter?" He asked. "It's quite spectacular." He walked over to the window.

Tockman walked back over to Iris and I, grabbing us both.
"Tockman, no. No, don't do this! Not them!" Joe yelled as he dragged us away.
"Joe, I will save her." I promised him, I let the electricity take control, flickering in my eyes. He nodded in understanding. "I promise Joe."

"Quickly!" He dragged us down a hallway. "Time and tide wait for no man."
"Geoffrey Chaucer."
"Ooh, three for three." Good way to go out." He turned the gun on Iris and pulled the trigger. My eyes flickered. And I moved fast. Faster than I ever had before. I was doing what Wells needed. I moved Iris' out of the bullet's path and knocked Tockman out. Back into real time, my hand wouldn't stop shaking at super speed.
"Holy shit." Iris said. "You're Velocity."
"Iris, I promise I will explain. We just need to do this first."

"Joe." I pulled Joe aside. CSI was doing their thing. "Iris knows. I wasn't planning on it." I explained. "Tockman shot, I moved her away, knocked him out, but my hand, it wouldn't stop shaking. I have to explain to her."
"Just don't tell her about Barry or me. Only explain the part about you." I nodded. He was still trying to salvage this and keep his little girl in the dark. Did I agree? No. Did I want to get the shit beaten out of me by Joe? Also no.

"You ready?" I asked her. She nodded reluctantly. I ran her to my apartment where Lisa and Lenny already were. Lisa drew her gun, but Lenny stood up and stopped her.
"She already knows, sis."
"Sorry, why are they here?" Iris asked. I pulled over a chair for Iris.
"In the last," I looked at my watch, "Four hours, you all found that I was the super hero, Velocity. Now, you have questions. I have answers. And before any of you ask; No, Iris, no writing about Velocity saving you, Lenny, I will not tell you who the Flash is, and Lisa, just please don't shoot my friend." I sped to my kitchen and poured all of us drinks before sitting back down. "Now, where to start?"
