The Pain and the Pleasure-Leonard Snart

Their lives changed...for the better?

It was a normal day in Central City, or so everyone  thought.

"Hey Barry."Rebecca said walking into my brother's forensic lab.

"Hey sis, what's up?"

"Are you almost done here? Tonight's the particle accelerator explosion and as your awesome sister, I got you, me, and Iris tickets to go see it at Star Labs. She's on her way up right now."

"Wait, Iris is on her way up?" Rebecca nodded and watched as he frantically fixed his hair. He had never been one to care about looks, but he's been in love with Iris since he was 11. He was always obsessed about impressing her. Then, she walked in.

"Hey Bar, how was your trip to Star City? Did you find proof of the impossible or just piss off my dad again?" Of course, Rebecca knew what she was referring to. Last week they had taken a trip to Star City hoping to find proof of the impossible. They thought it would get them closer to finding their mother's murderer and getting their father, Henry Allen,  out of prison. They didn't get our proof, but we did make new friends. Team Arrow. The same arrow who was the guardian of Star City.

"Very funny Iris." he responded, "Look I don't know if I can make it to Star Labs tonight. There's a new robbery case and Joe needs me to analyze this evidence."

"Seriously Bar, you couldn't have told me this when I got here 5 minutes ago?" Rebecca asked, slightly frustrated. And with that, Joe entered.

"Hey Bar, you got anything yet."

Iris cut in before Barry could answer, "Looks like your test is done."

Barry slid over and started telling Joe the results, "I think the Mardon brothers are at a farm. The fecal matter is cow manure which contained traces of oxytetracycline which only four farms in the area still use. Check them out. I think you'll find a pretty sweet Shelby parked at one of them."

Rebecca finally cut in, "Seeing as Barry here fixed your poop problems, can he go to Star Labs with us?"she asked asked.

"Fine. Go. Just be careful."

"Yes, thank you Joe."

"Bye daddy."

"Bye baby. Bye Becca."

"Bye Joe."

"So while I was in Star City I had time to think about relationships." Barry said to Iris.Rebecca practically face palmed. He was so in love with her and she had absolutely no idea. It was kind of hilarious but awkward to be around.

"Look Barry I already know what you're going with this. I get it that we grew up together and I'm practically your sister, but in reality I'm not. I get it may be awkward to talk to me about, but it shouldn't be. I just want you to be happy." 

"Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what I was going to say."

"Aren't you glad that I know you so well?"

"Yeah, so well." he said smiling awkwardly. All of a sudden a man came up from behind us and snatched Iris' bag.

"Hey! That bag has my laptop in it. It has my dissertation." Barry ran after it, slowly of course because he's Barry with Rebecca and Iris following behind.

We heard Barry talking to the thief before a thud and an unknown voice saying "Stop! Or do you want to find out the hard way you're not faster than a bullet."

"Who is that guy?" Rebecca asked at the police station.

"His name is Eddie Thawne. Transferred a few weeks ago." Barry replied

"So that's detective pretty boy. That's what my dad calls him. Says he actually keeps score when it comes to arrests." Iris chimed in. 

"Well he definitely is pretty." Barry gave Rebecca a tiny glare before she gave him a look that said sorry.

"I'm going up to my lab to do some more evidence analysis." Barry said bluntly

"I'll come with. See you later Iris."

"Bye Becca."

"Why don't you just tell Iris, Barry?"

"Tell her what?"

"Oh come on you're so clearly in love with her."

"We're not having this conversation." he said turning on the news.

"Good evening Central City. Tonight is the night that the particle accelerator turned on. Reports have said it's fully operational even with the storm. What's that? We're just being told that the storm has interfered with the particle accelerator. Star Labs is now shutting it down."

The TV frizzed off. Barry went to put the blinds on the window on the ceiling. He pulled down. And then, it happened. Lightning struck Barry. He lay on the floor unconscious and Rebecca rushed over and called an ambulance. 

A/N: Hi! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of The Pain and the Pleasure. This book does contain Snart as the love interest, but he won't be introduced for a while.

This book will be season 1 of the flash with some new plot changes.
