It Was A MISTAKE - Luke Shaw

Part 8 -

Riley let her mother in, she was nervous, she didn't know how her mother was going to react, they both waited until after the first scan, Luke told his mother this morning and Riley had received a text from him saying she was upset at first but then really happy she was going to have a grandchild even under the circumstances, she wanted to meet Riley at some point, which made Riley feel sick.

She sat at her kitchen table with her mother having a cuppa tea in their hands, she sighed and looked her mum in the eyes.
She was about to break this women's heart, she wanted her daughter to be a happy relationship when she was due to have a baby, it wasn't meant to be like this
"so what's matter, I have spoke to you since last week" truth is Riley was avoiding her mum
"well mum, the thing is, erm. I don't know how to say it but erm" the older women reached over and placed her hand on her daughters hand
"you can tell me anything" she smiled
"you know that girls holiday " she nodded as she saw the pictures the paps had took when her daughter was with the England team, seeing her close to one of the footballers.
"the pill failed me" she whispered, hoping her mum didn't hear her in all honestly.
"sorry what" her mother asked if giving her a chance to change her words
"I'm pregnant mum and I don't know what to do" her mother looked at her, she wasn't angry. The pill didn't always work unfortunately, she stood from her seat and pulled the one out next to her daughter wrapping her arms round her daughter
"does he know?" she felt her daughter nod
"what did he say?"
"he was shocked but he's sticking round her him or her" she nodded at her daughter words
"I'll be here aswell, we will be a team and deal with it together"
She was glad her mother wasnt angry at her and was going to support her.
"I need to meet these boy you was smitten with for two weeks though" she laughed kissing the top of her daughters head
