"Ari, would you just come out of the bathroom?" I hear Jaime say from the other side of the door.
I looked myself over for what had to be the millionth time today and finally decided to just wear this outfit.
A teal sleeveless top that flows around my torso, some black skinny jeans and teal sandals showing off my freshly painted toes that are coincidently sporting a beautiful teal color, it was meant to be, I think to myself with a smile.
I let my natural curls fall around my face and kept my makeup to a minimum leaving room to make my lips a perfect shade of red, giving them the attention they loved; especially from a certain spiky haired boy in the room next to me.
I unlocked the door and opened it to reveal Jaime lying down on the bed facing the ceiling.
"Geeze Hime, you take forever to get ready, let's go!" I said making him get up and look at me evilly.
"Does this look okay? Maybe I should change." I ask looking down at my outfit and heading to the closet.
Jaime grabs my arms and twirls me around to face him.
"Babe, you look great. You've been through like six outfits already and if you go through one more I might just lose it." He says rubbing his face.
I laugh and shake my head then reach up to kiss his cheek, "Okay let's go." I say.
The drive to his moms had to have been the shortest drive of my life, I was scared.
Scared of what? Well, from what I heard from Tony a few days ago, Jaime's mom loved Jessica. They got a long well and that's also because she's known her since she and Jaime went to school together. They had known each other a total of eleven years, and they were inseparable, that's until I came along.
What if she looks at me like I'm to blame? Or maybe she won't like my appearance, none of that should matter, Jaime and I make each other happy, that's what matters right?
"Hey, look at me." Jaime says turning my face to look at him.
"What you're doing right now? The over thinking, it has to stop." He begins.
"You look amazing, you can make me fall in love over and over again, they're going to love you, I mean who wouldn't, and in the end I love you and that's what matters." He finishes ceasing the thoughts in my mind.
I agreed then watched as he got out of the car and made his way to my side, opening the door and helping me out.
We walked up to the front door hand in hand and he knocked on the door only for it to be opened in a matter of seconds.
"Ah Jaime!" The short woman exclaimed.
"Hey Ma'" He says giving her a hug.
She looks over to me and down to our hands then back up at Jaime.
"Uh mom this is Arianna, my girlfriend." He says giving my hand a reassuring squeeze.
She looks me over once then extends her hand out for me to shake.
"Nice to meet you Arianna." She says coldly.
I took her hand in mine then gave it a firm shake with a soft smile, "Likewise, Mrs. Preciado."
"Well come on in, everybody is in the backyard." She says walking into the house with me and Jaime following.
"Well that was something." I mumbled to myself.
"Huh?" Jaime says looking down at me.
"Nothing." I shake my head with a smile.
We walked to the backyard and were met with about ten more people sitting around a table with drinks in their hands talking.
