I shut the fridge and turned around taking a sip of my Gatorade and saw Jaime standing in the entrance of the kitchen wearing a pair of black and red swim trunks and a white shirt, hands on his hips and a smile placed on his face. I screwed the cap back on the bottle swallowing what was left in my mouth,
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask.
"Wanna go to the beach?" He smiles.
I ponder and act as if I'm thinking then smile, "Let me just go get dressed."
I run up the stairs and rummage through the drawers looking for my favorite bikini, aha there it is!
I quickly discard my shirt and place the baby blue neoprene bikini top on tying it expertly around my body and neck, I pull off my shorts and replace them with the matching bottoms then put some black shorts on top, going to the closet and taking a floral lace kimono off the hanger and putting it on my shoulders.
I tie my hair to the side in a messy fish tail braid then grab my black and blue Aviator Ray-Bans putting them on my head. I return to the closet to grab my sandals and a beach bag filling it with tanning oil, two baby blue towels, and my blue Polaroid camera that Alysha got me as a 'just because' gift.
I walked back down the stairs to see Jaime in the kitchen putting sandwiches inside plastic bags then place them in a medium sized lunch box.
"You ready to go?" I ask looking at the things inside the lunch box seeing water bottles, chips, the sandwiches, and napkins.
"Yeah, just gotta grab my sunglasses." He replies zipping up the lunch box.
"Nope, I got them for you." I smile pulling them out of my bag and placing them over his eyes for him.
"Well thank you." He chuckles.
I grab Max's leash that he's dragging around behind him and wrap it around my wrist then open the front door pulling my sunglasses over my head and placing my black floppy hat on before walking out with Max next to me and Jaime following closely behind.
We got to the beach quickly and set up our towels, unclipping Max who was quick to lay on his towel that Jaime insisted on bringing him, I took my kimono off and placed it in the bag then slipped off my sandals and walked to the water with Max in front of me.
I placed my feet into the cool water watching Max run through the water, splashing around like a two year old child. I stood laughing for a moment until I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and drag me into the water.
"Jaime no!" I yell just as my body was thrown in.
I resurface and wipe the hair from my face and splash the water towards Jaime who was clutching his stomach in laughter, I crossed my arms and pouted getting him to walk over to me, laughs still falling from his mouth.
"Aw baby I'm sorry."
"Nope, don't even try Preciado." I scorn keeping this fake anger on display.
Jaime stops laughing and looks down at me with a straight face, "Are you seriously mad?"
"What do you think?" I say sarcastically.
