I woke up opening one eye first, trying to adjust my sight from the harsh rays of sunlight beaming through the living room windows. I finally get enough strength to open both eyes fully and take in my surroundings, I'm laying on the floor and as I look up I see my best friend sprawled out on the couch, light snores escaping from her mouth. I get up from the floor and make my way to the bathroom and take in the horrifying being in the mirror, girls night was definitely a success.
[Flash back]
"Okay let's get this party started!" Spencer yelled out as she clutches two wine bottles in her hands.
I look over to the coffee table in the middle of her small living room, chips, cookies, and candy lay across the top of it as well as a stack of movies and nail polish, I feel like I'm in junior high again. I silently laugh to myself.
"Yes!" I agree and look at her with a huge smile.
"Where do we start?" She laughs and pulls me down to sit with her on the couch.
Taking the cork screw and opening the first bottle of pink moscato, I'm actually happy to hear the pop of the cork leaving the top of the bottle, after everything, I just need a drink to help drown all the thoughts I've been keeping inside.
"Remember the first time we drank alcohol?" Spencer says breaking the silence.
I laugh and nod my head "You stole it from your moms cabinet, and it was old so it tasted gross, but we drank the whole bottle and we got sick but we couldn't tell them why because you didn't want to get in trouble."
I say while laughing she was nodding her head laughing along with me, "That was the most miserable two days ever, we shouldn't have done that." She says shaking her head and laughing.
"Let's watch Mean Girls." I say getting up to grab the DVD and put it in the player. I sit back down and let the rest of the night consume me.
[End Flash back]
Drinking a bottle and a half we finally crashed and this was the result , I think looking at my reflection one last time before grabbing a towel and starting the shower, getting in and releasing the tension in my body.
Once I'm done I step out and make my way to my bedroom and change into something comfortable, a pair of blue jean shorts and a black Metallica tank top. I let my hair fall out of the towel and I brush it out, letting it dry on its own. I walk over to my phone still connected to the charger and pull it off opening it to send a text to Lisa telling her I won't be in today and that I'll explain later.
In an instant I get a reply back from who I'm guessing is Lisa but as soon as I open the text I'm surprised to see who it's really from.
Jaime: Good morning pretty lady!
I smile a cheesy grin to myself and get ready to respond when a not so welcoming text comes in next.
Sean: whre r u?! u beter get hme or yu wnt like the consequnce.
My smile completely fades as I realize what I've possibly done. He's drunk, he won't do anything, right?
I walk out of my bedroom and into the living room meeting the face of Spencer looking at me while she picks up the blankets laying all over the place.
"Well yesterday was fun." She chuckles, I smile and nod my head.
"What's wrong Ari?" She states clearly knowing that something wrong, and definitely knowing that I can't keep it from her.
