Ariene was disappointed that they hadn't made much progress with the expulsion. She got into trouble for defacing the portraits. Of course she got lectured for what she wrote on her assignments. She got a two weeks detention for shaving Ms Norris, who grew her fur back with a quick cresco. However, nothing seemed to stick.

What was worse was how "head over heels" Sirius had become. She hated it, even more when she saw how distressed it made Remus. She tried to push him away, make him hate her, but that only made him more attracted.

The one thing that seemed to be going well was her progress with Marlene. That girl was already on her mind 24/7. Ariene would get up early to watch her practice quidditch, which boosted Sirius's ego to a point she thought he'd give up on her and marry himself. Ariene tried writing to Sandrine, but every time she did her owl would come back with a somber look. She focused on getting expelled, getting with Marlene, and getting away from Sirius.

Ariene walked down from the quidditch stands to congratulate Marlene on her quidditch practice.

"Oi! Came to congratulate me?" Sirius said. Ariene snorted.

"You wish. Marlene, you did great!" Ariene said, giving her a hug.

"Me next, please!" Sirius said. Ariene fixed him with a dark glare and he raised his eyebrows at her, amused. Honestly. She would never get rid of him!

"Piss off, Sirius." Marlene told him, grinning. Ariene groaned inwardly. Marlene was gorgeous.

"Should we go in? I'm starving." Marlene said, putting a hand on Ariene's shoulder. Butterflies filled her stomach.

"Er, sure!" Ariene said, trying not to sound too eager.

"Mm. I love weekends." Marlene said as the two of them sat down.

"Me too." Ariene said.

"So no detentions today, then?" Marlene asked. Ariene shook her head. "I suppose it's fitting for you to be with the marauders." Marlene said.

"Oh?" Ariene asked.

"At least you'll have company." Marlene said.

"Oh, yes. It's great, having Sirius harass me while I polish trophies." Ariene said, sarcastically.

"Hey, most of the girls here would kill to be you!" Marlene said. Most. Most, but not you.

"I'd switch in an instant." Ariene said. "Once he actually tried to bribe me for a drink at hogsmeade." She continued. Marlene laughed. She didn't question it either.

At that moment, Ariene's owl dropped a letter at their table. Ariene rolled her eyes and shoved it aside. She tried her best to ignore all letters with the familiar purple cursive lettering her mom used. As she turned back to Marlene the letter flew up and unraveled. Oh no.

"Ariene Genet! You have been ignoring me for far too long! It hurts me to do this but seeing how you don't respond or even read my letters, you leave me no choice."
"This irritating grudge you have is extremely childish. You were the one who got expelled from Beauxbatons, which was incredibly embarrassing to all Genets, past and present, and probably future as well! It is unfair of you to ignore me because of what you did."
"However, all of this aside, we have heard that you are spending lots of time with the Black heir! How wonderful. We are all proud. A match made in heaven, and it may actually ADD SOME COMMON SENSE IN THAT STONE HEAD OF YOURS. IT'S TIME YOU START TO THINK ABOUT YOUR ROLE IN THIS FAMILY AND FIX YOUR AWFUL BEHAVIOR."
