Hospital for Souls

Chapter 21

The sleep takes over me quickly. I look around me to see that I'm on a platform floating in mid air. All around me is volcanoes with fire spewing out of them. Looking down, I'm on a circle made of marble. The marble is a brownish orange, and black marble forms a pentagram. I look down to see I'm wearing a silky black dress with comfy black sandals. My hair is pinned up into a bun with fancy curls coming out of it. I have sparkles around my eyes, with black eye liner that swirls out a little bit past my eye. I also have on black mascara and light pink lipstick. It's weird; I look so good, but this dream is a nightmare.

I look around me, watching the waterfalls of lava. Then, the Earth around me starts to shake and geysers of lava begin to spew up. I look around, waiting for something to happen. Then, while the lava erupts, coming out of it is Jake. I run to Jake and give him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and I feel a little bit of happiness in me. Then, I feel Jake go cold. I turn around to see more lava erupting, and Snake comes out of it. He puts his arms out for me, but I begin to get too afraid to enter them.

He keeps his arms out, waiting for me to run to him and hold him tightly. However, all I feel is myself going numb and the fear striking through my veins. I see Snakes face beginning to get anger on it.

"Raven," Snake says to me in a nice voice, but with a hint of anger. "Come over to me. Give me a hug. I love you Raven. I'm sorry I hurt you." I feel myself still. Then I feel someone grab my arm. I turn to see it's Jake.

"You don't have to Raven." He whispers to me. "You don't need to go over to him. You can stay by me. I'll keep you safe." I look back over to Snake to see his anger.

"Raven," He says, anger now showing. "Come over to me. Give me a hug. I love you Raven. I love you with all of my heart. You're the only girl that I want. I don't want to hurt you Raven. I want to make you happy. Please give me a hug. No one has to get hurt if you do." I take one step towards Snake, but then Jake grabs my arm.

"Please Raven," Jake says with urgency in his voice. "Don't go towards him. He's going to hurt you if you do. Just tell him no and we can leave. You can be safe with me. Please Raven, don't go to him." I feel fear all over me. I can't tell Snake no, yet I'm scared of what will happen if I don't.

I take one more step towards him.

"You should have said no." Before I can even react, Snake grabs my arm and yanks me towards him. I scream, but when I do, Snake puts his hand over my mouth.

"Raven!" Jake screams at me. I see tears rolling down his face. "You should have said no! Why don't you listen to me!?" I feel a single tear fall down my face. Then, Snake grabs me tight and I shoot up into the air. I scream again, but this time it's muffled because Snakes hand is over my mouth. I fly high up until suddenly, I appear in a completely white room. The room has a lot of long windows, letting in sunlight. I'm laying on a king sized bed with soft white sheets and pillows. The ceiling goes high up to form a circle. At the top of the circle is a giant chandelier made out of white crystals. I look right in front of me to see a mirror. I look at myself to see how perfect I look in this outfit. Then, that's when Snake walks in.

"Hey there beautiful." He says to me. "Let us have a little talk." He sits on the bed and it shifts beneath me. I look at him, seeing pure lust and evil in his eyes.

"Hi." I say back in a very quiet voice.

"I didn't say talk." He says to me. "Now then, my precious flower, why didn't you hug me when I asked you to?" I'm silent for a moment. "Raven, please answer me."

"I-I got scared." I know this is going to end badly.

"Scared? Now, what could possibly scare you my love?"
