Leigh POV

I glanced over to the passenger seat and saw that Brynn had quickly fallen asleep. I wasn't sure what was going on, but Brynn was never the one to ask for help, so I knew she needed it more than ever. We drove the rest of the way to my house in complete silence. As a kid she used to come over to my house and we'd play for a few hours about 3-4 Times a week , so my parents love her and have said she's like another daughter to them and that she's always welcome in our house, no matter what. When I pulled my car into the garage she was still asleep, and I didn't want to wake her up so I went in and knocked on the door belonging to our chauffeur and asked him to carry her into the house. With a slight nod and a quiet "yes ma'am" he carefully picked her up and placed her in Cameron's room. Once we were all three in the room I dismissed him and started taking off her shoes and placing her under the blankets. I quietly walked out of the room and shut the door with a click and went to my room next door to grab my purse and headed back to my car and went back to see Cameron at the hospital, tonight was his last night there so he'd need someone to help him check out in the morning.

Once I was at the hospital I went to Cameron's room and found that he was already awake and leaning over the sides of the bed, looking for what I could only assume was his phone.

"Morning sunshine may I ask what the hell you're looking for?" I asked, trying to suppress a smirk and giggle.

"I'm looking for my phone. Where-- Leigh, give it to me you bitch." He demanded.

I chuckled and grabbed his phone from my purse and threw it to him.

"There ya go Sir Dick." I said with a chuckle.

"Where'd you even go? And more importantly, why'd you have my phone?" He asked.

"Do you really want to know?"

"Just tell me."

"It was Brynn... She was at some gas station about a half hour away from here and needed help so she called you and I answered and then took her to our house since her parents locked her out when they left."

A small grin and a light blush flashed onto his face, but he quickly suppressed it and it was replaced by a pale face of worry.

"Oh my God. Is she okay?!? Did you ask what happened? Is someone watching her?!" He rambled off question after question, suddenly worried. He sat up in his hospital bed and put his head in his hands and started messing with his hair.

"What? I am beyond confused. What the hell happened that you're not telling me?" I asked.

"JUST ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTIONS! FUCK!" He yelled, causing me to jump suddenly.

"Okay, just calm down. She looked pretty messed up but didn't have any major injuries. She was wearing flip flops she bought from the gas station, she had make up smudges all over her face, her dress was cut up a bit, she was pretty dirty, and she had the look of fear in her eyes."

Cameron suddenly looked scared, then worried, then mad. He balled up his fists and started punching the bed.

"Dammit dammit dammit!" He cursed.

"What? Omg fucking tell me!" I yelled.

He looked me in the eye, rage spread evidently across his face.

"Her ex boyfriend Alex tried raping her a few years ago and I saw him pull into the parking lot shortly after she left my room yesterday. Looks like he got her now! I should've been there! Oh my FREAKING God!" He yelled, worry dripping from his every word.

Just the explanation of what happened sent chills down my spine and sent me into an explosion of worry and anxiety. I half walked half ran to the front desk and checked Cameron out early. He got dressed and I got him into the car and I sped home, hoping she was still there.

Once we pulled up to the house my breath got caught in my chest and I was at a loss for words, too terrified to speak.

There was a Dodge Intrepid parked right outside the house, ans the front door was slightly ajar. Then I realized that all the clues had already been lain out in front of me, but still managed to go unseen.
