The Uchiha Clan, a proud clan with a long history. A clan ruled by emotions shown through its unique kekkei genkai: the Sharingan.
The Uchiha loved more than others and, given that, hated more than others as well. A curse was born, one of hate. This curse caused problems for the clan as it effected their leader Madara, leading him to spiral into madness and become power hungry. While the curse hasn't effected clan members to that extent since, the Second Hokage still held a grudge against the clan.
In his death, a new ANBU division was created. This division was called ROOT, a secret division that would operate in the shadows. The leader and the one who created this division was none other than Danzō Shimura.
Danzō was not part of the Uchiha clan but was victim to hatred all the same. Creating ROOT out of spite for not being chosen as the Third Hokage, he used this force to gain power for himself and manipulate events outside of the village to not only protect the village but to achieve his own goals as well.
It is here our story begins. It begins with a small girl and a man hungry for power.
