Today I'm getting Marsai ready for her Glee performance. She's so nervous and I've been trying to calm her nerves, but nothing seems to be working.
"KiKi what if I hit a bad note. You know how I get nervous when singing, and oh Lord The Clark Sisters will be in the audience and then YOU—"
"MarMar! You'll be alright hun. You've practiced your solo over and over and you know the songs front and back. Believe in yourself and you'll get through it. God's with you and don't you forget it." I said.
"But I'm just super nervous though!" She exclaimed.
"When have you ever did a horrible performance?" I asked her. She paused to think on it.
"The fact that you even had to stop and think is enough to let you know that it's never happened. Now go get me your hair and makeup stuff." I said. She wears natural makeup for singing competitions and for this event I'm pulling her braids into a bun.
I took her bonnet off her head and began to shape her braids into a high bun. It didn't take long for me to do her makeup and hair.

"It looks so cute KiKi! Thank you!" Marsai said.
I smiled and laid her edges down before putting a scarf around her hairline to lay the baby hairs. "I'm glad you like it MarMar."
We took selfies and I posted it on my Instagram story before we headed out to the car. I also sent a picture to Sean and he immediately hearted the text but left me on read. I rolled my eyes because lately he's been checking in on us via text and not calling me to just see how everything's going.
Speaking of Sean, as I was driving I received a call from him. I decided to answer him on my phone by putting on one of my AirPods instead of using the car's speaker.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey Ki, am I on speaker phone?" Sean asked.
"No, why?" I said.
"Because I'm coming to Mar's competition but don't say anything cause it's a surprise." He said. I grinned so wide because she's going to go crazy seeing him.
