KIERRA'S POV Continued
"So yesterday me and Kierra did a lot of reflecting on our friendship and we discovered that we have strong feelings for each other. We decided that we want to start dating and form a relationship and wanted to know how you feel about us being together?" Sean said.
"We want your honest feelings and don't hold back either." I said.
We both looked at her as we waited for her to speak.
"Ummm, I think that..."
MARSAI'S POV
"Ummm, I think that...it's cool! About time you guys got together!" I said happily.
"So you're happy about us?" KiKi asked me.
"Yes! Why wouldn't I be?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know. I guess I'm worried that things would change but it's really not when you think about it." She replied.
"Of course nothing's going to change. We been a family and we're going to remain that." Daddy said to both of us.
We kept eating but one thing did stay in my mind and I needed to ask them.
"Ummm I've been reading comments and my friends have even sent me things about you two. I guess I'm trying to know what's allowed of me to respond back to on social media." I said.
My dad and KiKi exchanged looks.
"What kind of comments you been seeing?" My dad asked.
"Uhhh not so nice things but it's mainly about KiKi and it makes me so angry. I don't wanna get in trouble but I feel like I gotta defend my family." I started get angry all over again. People are so mean.
"Baby, I see it gets you riled up thinking of stuff like that but you can't respond to that negativity." KiKi said.
"But people are so mean and don't even know y'all and it's messed up that I gotta be quiet." I said.
"We know MarMar and that's the downside to fame. People like to say mean things because they don't have anything better to do. They get a kick outta tearing people down, but we don't want you caught up on social media. You know what's real and true about us and you don't have to prove that to anyone." Daddy said.
"You hear me?" He asked once I didn't give a verbal response.
"Yes daddy I hear you. I won't say anything." I said.
We finished eating and I helped clear the table and wash the dishes before heading upstairs to my room.
SEAN'S POV
Next DayToday's the day I'll be setting up an official date with Kierra and I have to go all out for her. I decided to make the day especially all about her, so I'll be taking care of everything. This includes getting Marsai up for school and making breakfast so that Ki could sleep in.
I responded to a few texts that came in the middle of night before hopping out of the guest bed in Kierra's house to go shower. For some, people may judge how we switch between houses because we're not married but it works for us. As best friends we've been so close and nothings going to change our dynamic.
It's honestly no one's business and I respect Kierra too much to jeopardize the friendship we built.
After my shower, I threw on a plain black shirt with jeans and a pair of Jordans. I walked out the room and went to wake up Marsai.
When I opened her door, she was knocked out sprawled all over the bed.
"MarMar, time to get up." I yanked the covers off her quick. She groaned and tried to find the covers but it was no use.
