[ solomon's pov ]
My family never really liked me, so I spent most of my time at the library that was close to our house at the time. I would read books on magic and spells for hours and hours until the library was about to close.
I was never very close with my parents as they disliked me. They saw me as 'weak' and too 'kindhearted' so they would always prioririze my twin sister over me.
Me and my twin sister, however, had a very close bond. It was one of those bonds that no matter where you are, what you've done, or what you're going to do, it will never be broken. I knew for a fact that I was able to tell my sister absolutely anything.
The bond between us still didn't break even when she unfortunately passed away. She was so young. My sister was a teenager when she caught a hideous disease that was spreading through our town, and it took her life.
After my sister's death, I decided to move out of my parent's house and live somewhere else. It was safe to say that they had no complaints with it.
That's when my friend, M/C stepped in to help me. I had met M/C when I was just a little kid at a book signing event with my favourite author. They were also there and we bonded over our love for books there and then. Unfortunately, my parent's moved far away so I didn't see M/C for a good few years. It came as a shock that one day when they reached out to help me settle in.
After M/C had ever-so-kindly found me a job and house, I secretly studied magic and sorcery at home. Of course, I was to never tell M/C this as it could possibly put their life in danger.
My twin sister always had a love for magic, sorcery and supernatural elements - so I wished to become the perfect sorcerer just for her. I studied hard for years, still keeping my research a secret from my best friend.
Finally, I knew all that I had to know about sorcery. I knew how to summon demons, cast spells and more. All of my hard work had finally payed off.
I remember one day receiving a letter during the afternoon. I read it with a shocked face.
It was a letter from a demon who went by the name of Lucifer. He claimed he, and his six other brothers, had heard some great things about me and wished to meet as soon as possible.
Quite eager to see if this information was actually true and if it was possible to see demons, I wasted no time in teleporting to the place called 'the devildom'
Once there, I met all seven demons and helped them pursue some of their work using my magic. As time flew by, I even managed to make a pact with one of the demons called Asmodeus. He told me that in a time of need, I was always welcome to summon him and he'd lend me some of his powers.
I continued to balance my life in the human world and my life in the devildom pretty well. I was a librarian during the morning, and a shady sorcerer by night. I loved the thrill of it all and thanked my sister up above for getting me into sorcery.
I will admit, keeping something that is a huge part of your life a secret from your best friend is pretty difficult. And it hurts a lot since if they were to ever find out, the trust and bond between the two of you would automatically break.
I hoped M/C would never find out what I was and what I was doing. If they did, I couldn't guarantee their safety.
I remember one day, on the way home from work by myself, I came across two people shivering on the side of the road. Their clothes were very... Unique and unlike anything I had seen before. Not having the heart to just leave them there, I took them into my house and talked to them.
The eldest was Simeon and the child was Luke. Simeon explained to me that the two of them were angels who had just got kicked out of the 'celestial realm'
Luke explained to me that the celestial realm was home to all angels and that 'Michael' was their master and saviour. He was the greatest angel of all time and Luke reported everything to him.
I allowed the angels to stay at my house for a night. That eventually turned into the pair living with me as we grew closer. They reminded me of the family I never had. I felt safe and loved whenever I was with them.
I told both of them that I was a sorcerer and they had laughed and said it was pretty obvious. They were referring to the markings I tended to cover up on my body. The markings were some of my sister's favourites, so I imprinted them into myself after her death.
Life carried on as normal and I was happy with how it had all turned out. Yes, I never used to have a family who loved and cared for me, but now I like to think that I do. I had the two angels and I had M/C. I didn't need anyone else.
However, my life changed that one day I received a letter. This letter was from Lucifer once again explaining that he needed me and the two angels immediately.
It turned out the brothers had their eyes on this one specific human. And it wasn't just any normal human.
It was my best friend, M/C.
Overcome with shock, I had no idea what to do. But I was talking to Lucifer here, one of the most powerful demons in the whole of devildom, there wasn't a lot I could do except from obey whatever orders he had for me.
I had no choice. The deal had been pact.
I had to bring my best friend down to the devildom for the demon's.
I had to show M/C what I really was.
