Silence flooded the Castle's meeting hall, each and every being present trying to formulate a sensible plan of action. If this really was going to turn into a battle, each person had to be fully prepared.

"So," M/C hummed after a few minutes of silence, "The remaining demon brothers want me for themselves; and in order to get me, they're willing to fight everyone here."

Diavolo nodded his head, chin resting upon his hand. "In essence, yes. That is exactly what's happening."

Beelzebub frowned, eyes glued to the floor. "Why can't they just leave M/C alone? What's gotten into them all of a sudden?"

The human rolled their eyes in a sarcastic manner. "Tell me about it."

"If I may," Barbatos cleared his throat, "If this unfortunate situation is going to turn into that of a battle, then I'm afraid we will not be able to hold back. The demon brothers pose as a massive threat and could potentially destroy the whole of the Devildom at this rate. We cannot risk that."

Silence cast over the room once more. The air was thick and the suspense of the unknown was heavy and suffocating.

"So, what you're saying is that..." Belphegor trailed off. He felt a lump form in his throat. Beel ruffled his twins hair in a comforting manner.

"Continue." Suggested Diavolo. His eyes wavered from Belphegor to everybody present.

The aforementioned demon contemplated before obeying.

"So, what you're suggesting is that if it comes down to it, we may need to harm our brothers?"

Diavolo and Barbatos glanced at each other with blank expressions. Their actions alone certainly spoke louder than words.

"Yes," Sighed Diavolo heavily, "That is what we are implying."

M/C mumbled, "Is there really no other way?"

The green haired male sat beside Barbatos shook his head. A heavy expression was written amongst his face.

"I'm afraid not... My potions and spells are only able to lessen the amount of pain the demons will experience. It shall work, however only for a certain amount of time."

Frantically, the human darted their eyes towards their white haired friend. They stared at the male - longing and desperation wavering in their eyes.

"Solomon... Is there anything you could possibly do? I really don't want the brothers getting hurt."

Solomon frowned. His thoughts were loud.

M/C, you're too kind-hearted.

These demons literally forced me to drag you down here and you want peace and love? I don't know how you do it, I really don't.
