The soft hum of conversation filled the room as Aiah and her friends gathered around the living room.

Sheena planned to have a bond with her friends and coincidentally matches their free time.

Aiah's house was the most accommodating for their loudness and since Aiah was alone for a while because of Colet's absence due business — the hangout was a way to ease the loneliness of their ate.

Mikha was present because of boredom and perks of being in the same circle with her ex, her close friends Colet and Gwen refused to stay with her that left her with no choice but to join them at Aiah's.

The tension was there and Aiah was trying her best not to get on Mikha's nerves despite of her genuine care and action.

She was careful with her words when she occasionally spoke with her despite Mikha being rude at all.

Aki her adopted dog was playing with Stacey and Maloi as the conversation continues.

Laughter spilled out, the warmth of friendship palpable in the air—until the moment shattered.

Aiah reached for her cup, but her hand slipped, and in an instant, hot coffee splashed onto Mikha’s shirt.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry!" Aiah's voice trembled, her eyes wide with guilt as she scrambled for a napkin.

She immediately leaned toward Mikha, attempting to dab the mess away, her hands shaking.

Mikha stood up abruptly, her face dark with fury. "Are you serious right now?" She snapped, her voice cold and cutting. "Can't you do anything right, Aiah? You always screw things up—just like before."

"Putangina, why I'm even here and confused— eh tanga ka nga pala dati pa"

"Mikha!" Colet interfered but the woman was careless with her words.

Aiah froze, her breath hitching as Mikha’s words hit her like sharp daggers.

Her chest tightened, but she swallowed hard, her hands still shakily trying to clean the spill. "I-I’ll clean it, I’ll—"

"Don't fucking touch me!" Mikha slapped Aiah’s hand away, the force of it causing Aiah to flinch.

"I don’t need you. I never needed you. Just stay out of my life." Her voice dripped with venom as she pushed Aiah aside.

"P-please, let me— lalabhan ko nalang …" Aiah whispered, her voice breaking, but Mikha shoved her hand off again.

"Tangina, huwag na nga di'ba!" Mikha’s eyes flashed with disdain before she stormed toward the door, leaving the room thick with tension.

As the door slammed behind her, Aiah stood frozen, her head hung low, tears brimming in her eyes.

Her chest heaved as she tried to steady her breathing, but it was no use. The trembling in her hands spread through her whole body, and the dam finally broke.

Maloi, Sheena, Stacey, and Gwen exchange stunned looks, their hearts heavy with sadness.

Slowly, Colet reached out, pulling Aiah into a comforting embrace. "Aiah," She whispered softly.
