Luna's POV
"How on earth do you not know about Taco Bell?" Billie loudly questioned, seemingly offended. I kept my eyes on the road, annoyed at the questioning but also slightly amused. I didn't really have a short response to her question though so I decided to end the conversation. "Can you just tell me the directions?" I responded. She seemed to deflate a little at my lack of response, but answered my question anyway.

As the Taco Bell came into view I swirled the car into the drive though. "What do you want?" I asked Billie
"Twenty bean burritos." She said clearly.
I nodded in response. As we pulled up to the order station, I repeated billies order, much to the surprise of the Taco Bell worker
"Umm, are you sure you want twenty bean burritos for just the two of you?" The worker asked, clearly shocked for reasons I couldn't fathom. Were we supposed to order more or something? I looked over to Billie, who laughed at my confused face before responding. "Well I would normally only order 18 but i feel the need to help you experience the wonder of Taco Bell so I brought two more" I was satisfied with that answer, it must be an unusual amount to order or something.  There's no other reason the worker would be looking at me like that. I took one last look at Billie (who was still laughing her head off) before answering the women and continuing on.

As we continued though the driveway I payed for the surprisingly expensive meal before collecting the rather large amount of burritos. This must be why the drive though girl was giving us that look. As we drove out of the driveway the workers who had spent the last ten minutes making Billie's meal gave us a death stare.

We sat in awkward silence at a park we had stopped at to eat. I had never really had a burrito or any fast food so I was pleasantly surprised at the heavenly taste I got with my first bite. I quickly scoffed down my two burritos, savouring the divine taste. I looked up to see Billie looking at me with a worried smile. She must have been worried I would have hated them, though I have no idea why she would care about my opinion.

"This is the best thing I have ever had in my entire life." I said after both me and Billie had finished. With that sentence billies face glowed up with a sense of pride. "I can't believe you've never had them before." She laughed. "But I am glad to have been the one to introduce you to them." Her smile was so cute, and I soon found myself smiling back.

As we sat in comfortable silence, both just enjoying each other's company, I thought that nothing could ruin my good mood. This honestly was one of the best jobs I had ever taken and I was loving the day we have had. But of cause, the universe will never be kind to me. "OMG your Billie Eilish right? I am your biggest fan, can you please sign my shirt." The stranger screamed. Billie was happy to sign the fans shirt, but I immediately became wary as more and more fans approached Billie.
Soon enough our once peaceful park was now filled with the screams of fans although I was unsure all of them were actually fans. Most likely some of them just wanted a signature they could sell.

"Billie we need to get out of here. You don't want to catch any unwanted attention." I pleaded. Today was my first day. No way am I going to get fired immediately.

"It's fine luna. Their my fans and I wouldn't be anything without them. Let's just spend ten minutes then we can go." Billie responded. Although she had good intentions, I was immediately annoyed with her lack of worry. And my worry was clearly justified, as within seconds the crowd separated Billie from me. As I made my way towards her, my ears perked up at a worrying sentence. "So she's the newest industry plant. It's time we rid the world of the scourge."

Shit.

I ran towards the assailant, who was holding a small pistol in his hand, but after a quick assessment I realised that another assailant was near Billie with a knife. With no other choice I ran myself towards Billie and used myself as a human shield. Within a second there was two sounds. A gun being fired of and a knife penetrating skin. Without a single moment of hesitation I quickly disarmed and knocked out the knife weirder before launching myself at the guy with the gun. I managed to tackle him to the ground and disarmed him but not before he shot me again.
