Billie's POV
"Oh Billie we were so worried. We heard on the news about the attack but we are so glad your safe." My mother said, worry clear in her eyes.
"I'm sorry for worrying you, but it's lucky Luna was with me. Without her I would probably be dead." I said.

As I backed away from the hug, I looked back to see Luna gone. Shit, it's not safe for her to be running around with those wounds. As I ran towards the street I saw only empty streets. Where could she have gone? After about 25 minutes of searching, I was losing my fucking mind. Me and my parents had searched every street in 5 blocks and nothing. Her cars stills here and there's no way she could have walked far with that much blood lost. We searched for over an hour. Eventually my parents gave up the search and went inside to ring her phone. After there was no response, the true panic set in. She could be dead in an alley somewhere, bleeding out on her way to her apartment. Or she could have been kidnapped, she wouldn't have been able to fight back.

My thoughts were interrupted as  I heard footsteps from behind me. As I looked around my eyes met a familiar pair of blue ones. I started sprinting over  to her, nearly stumbling over my feet in my rush.

"Fuck Luna. You can't go saving me from a murder attempt then running off without saying anything. You could have bled out and no one would have known where you were. Me and my parents have been searching around for over an hour! Fucking hell Luna, what the hell were you thinking!" I snapped.
"Shhhhhh Ca-calm down already. I-I'm your bodyguard, I know - I know what I'm do-doing. Let's go inside and hang ou-out." She slurred. As I observed Luna properly, I noticed her super dilated pupils. There's no way.

"What the fuck? Are you drugged?" I asked. I can't believe I have been running around looking for her and she's gone and got herself some drugs. She had no signs of any drugs when we were getting Taco Bell and there's no way she could have got herself any until after she dropped me off.
"Drug-drugged ? I-i'm not drugged dad. No ne-need to hi-hit me today, I'm plenty st-strong to-" Luna stumbled, nearly falling as I caught her and propped her up. "Yep, your defiantly drugged." I stated, although I doubt Luna was conscious enough to listen.

I knew she was injured after the attempted murder she saved me from but there's no way I can bring her inside. My parents would never let Luna stay as my bodyguard if she knew she did drugs. And while I personally hate drugs, I feel like I've grown attached to Luna. even if we've only known each other for a day I feel like we've been best friends for life. There's no way I can lose her before I really get to lose her.
"Hey, can you tell me where your apartment is? I need to take you home." I asked.

"Ap-apartment? I-I was just there!" She slurred.

"That's good. Can you direct me there?" I asked. While talking to her, I texted my parents telling them that I was heading to Luna'a apartment to look for her.

"Su-sure thing. Although it's a b-bit messy. Hehe I have to clean it up eventually." She responded before pointing in a direction of what I hoped was her apartment block. After about 15 minutes of her directing me, I finally reached an apartment block. Remembering the room she was in, I quickly dragged Luna to the door. I grabbed the keys from Luna's pocket and unlocked the door. I stepped foot right into a wrecked room. There was glass all over the left corner of the room, as well as some blood scattered across the floor. I guessed the blood came from her wounds, but it was still quite unsettling. "The fuck happened here?" I questioned, although i doubt I would get a reasonable answer from her in this state.

I directed Luna to the bed, avoiding all the glass and blood on the floor. "Luna, do you know what drugs you took?" I asked softly, plopping her on the bed. "I need to know how serious the withdrawal symptom will be."
After a minute, I realised she had fallen asleep. Using the opportunity, I checked her wounds and found the knife wound had been stitched up. Could she have stitched them herself? Moving on, I saw her two bullet wounds were still open, so I searched her house for some medical supplies then bandaged them. I took her shoes of, gently placing them beside the bed.

I know I should probably try to clean up the room, but that can wait till tomorrow. I honestly can't believe she had been doing drugs. They say she's the best in the business and I owe her my life for saving me back at the park but how could she have done all that when she's been taking drugs. You'd think that was something they would have checked during her bodyguard training. This must have been some hardcore shit she had been taking as well. I've seen people on weed and they aren't any near as bad. This must have not been a regular thing for her to do. If it was, I might have no choice but to fire her. I just hope there's a reasonable solution to this.

I texted my parents to tell them I was staying at a friends house. I hate lying to them but I don't feel right leaving her like this. She could have a seizure or open her stitches. With the amount of blood she has lost today it's probably not safe to lose any more any time soon. I decided to just wait until morning so I could get some answers from her. I sat in the red armchair  directly opposite from the bed and waited for sleep to take me.
