Her eyes fluttered open. She looked around her room,Oh..she thought, I passed out while doing homework.
She got up from her comfortable chair and did her usual morning routine. After putting on some warm clothes, she went downstairs only to see her mother making breakfast.
"Honey! Good morning! I'm almost done with breakfast. You don't mind setting up the plates on the table do you?", asked her mother with a smile.
"Yeah, I don't mind." She set the table and helped her mother finish making breakfast and then decided to go out.
Her mother's smile slowly faded, "Baby...where's your plate?", she asked.
"Oh, I'm not hungry. See you later, I'm going out for a bit." she replied.
Just as her mother was about to say something, she was already out of the front door and closed it.
Just then, a boy with coffee brown hair with a few blond streaks came downstairs.
"Mom? Why are you staring at the front door like that?" he questioned her with an eyebrow arching upwards.
She turned to look at him and it was as if she conveyed what she wanted to say through her eyes.
"Ah...", he said in realization. "Eventually mom...just..just give it some more time."
She sighed, "Ofcourse love. Go wake your father up. Till then I'll prepare some tea. What would you like?"
He went over to his mother and gave her a warm embrace. "I'm still your growing man-child mommyyy! Milk will do.", he said happily.
"Oh you big baby!", she exclaimed but embraced him back either way. "Now go! Also, make your bed while you're upstairs.", she shooed him away.
He laughs lightly as he went upstairs to do what she asked him to. He woke his father up and as he was walking through the corridor to get to his room, he stopped in front of the door that was right next to his. He stared at it for a good minute and let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in.
"Eh...", he mumbled, "it sure feels like it has been forever. Stupid twin.", he sighed and went into his own room.

As she closed her front door, she turned around and started walking down the neighborhood's street. It was a chilly weather in the town of Fallbrook, California, that day.
Even though her head was hung low and her eyes downcast, she turned her head sideways and looked at the house that was all too familiar to her. She stopped in her tracks and kept looking at the house for a while. Her eyes started feeling teary and she blinked back her tears and quickly walked forward.
She kept on walking until she got tired eventually. She sat down on a bench that was in the sidewalk. That's what she kind of liked about her town...it was quiet and peaceful. She looked up to the sky and was just lost in her thoughts when she felt a droplet on her cheek.
Ah...the sky is about to cry.., she thought as she stood up and started jogging back to her house.
"I'm home...", she spoke quietly.
"Oh dear! You're back. Thank God it just started drizzling! You didn't even bring an umbrella with you. You must be hungry. Come join us, we're still having breakfast.", said her mother hurriedly all in one go.
She paused while taking off her shoes to stare at her mother who was looking at her with expectant eyes.
She then looked aside, put on house slippers and said, "I'll eat later mom."
