EMAYA'S P.O.V
Falling in love, be it anyone... when you truly love someone, you never want to lose that person. Through all the highs and the lows, clearing up their darkest days to see their beautiful bright smile, and living for them. Kaz, I'm surprisingly starting to understand that now.
"I'm home lovelies!" We heard someone yell from the front door.
Raidyn's face lit up. "Koa's home." He grinned as he stood up and walk towards the doorway.
A boy who looked similar to Raidyn appeared next to him and gave him a hug. "Hey Rai. Missed me love?" He then turned his gaze to me and his eyes widened.
"I've seen you..." He says. "So you are the same Emaya."
I was confused. I looked at Raidyn but he seemed to be just as confused as me.
"Come with me." Koa said while gesturing us to follow him.
We walked upstairs and turned around a familiar corner in the corridor. He opened the door to that room and as we entered it, memories hit me like a fucking bus.
I wanted to cry.
"Ema..what's wrong?" Raidyn asked me with a worried look.
I looked up at him with teary eyes, "This was Kaz's room...Raidyn.." I whispered.
Koa handed me an envelope.
"I wanted to clean all the rooms in the house... and when I was cleaning this room..I found that in a little compartment in the corner of the floor."
Kaz's secret compartment. I realized. I looked at Koa, "Thank you. I forgot about it being there." I thanked him gratefully.
He smiled at me. "Emaya? Was it?"
"Yeah?" I responded.
"Can I talk to you?" He glanced at Raidyn. "Alone?"
Raidyn just nodded. "I'll go make some coffee till mom's done."
He walked out of the room and I watched him go. Koa then held my hand and gave me a soft smile.
"It's okay. You're safe with me, alright?" I smiled back.
"C'mon, let me tell you something about the boy named Raidyn Skye." He pulled me to the balcony.
He let go of my hand and sat down on the swing that Kaz and I used to sit on. We used to talk about everything and nothing at the same time. I missed him a little more for a brief moment. But right now, it's about Raidyn. And I'm not letting my mind think about anything else.
I folded the envelope and put it inside one of my pockets. I followed Koa and sat next to him.
His smile never disappeared. It was... comforting. Peaceful even.
"You know what? Raidyn has never had a friend before, yet it seems like him and Ronan have known each other for ages and then there's your twin Nyx too. It makes me happy, seeing my little brother having fun.
Genuinely.
The kind of fun he has when he's playing volleyball and he has that rare smile he only shows with people who are special to him: it used to be only the family and now it's you guys too. You know that moment where your heart dances a little because you're just so happy? That's exactly how I feel when I see Raidyn with them. Then there's you Emaya. If there's one thing Raidyn would take the most time in doing, it would be trusting someone. But there's you and I see a totally different site of him. I've never seen Raidyn be in love with someone and then you came along or he waltzed his way into your life... either ways... you both found each other and you completed each other somehow and it's kind of beautiful to see that."
