To say that Young Sarah is currently panicking would be a huge understatement — she is utterly petrified. How did this even unravel and get accepted by The Council? She honestly doesn't know, though, she wishes that she does. From what Hongjoong had told her, they were in a dire state and were desperate enough to be willing to use the help of criminals in strong hope of taking down The Scorpions. The rising gang had done a lot of damage to the point where The Council had no other choice than this. Or maybe they'll just sacrifice them in this suicidal mission and see if they'll manage to take The Scorpions down— no one knows. And Sarah doesn't like to think about the last possibility, it makes her guts turn.
"Sarah, you don't have to agree... if you don't want to then it's fine." The look on Hongjoong's face is soft and understanding. He wouldn't be mad at her for not accepting his suicidal offer, he'll understand and excuse her without holding it in his heart. But the fact that he came and is laying down the offer to her first says that he wants her to accept and join.
A sigh escapes Sarah's pink lips and she lifts her pink Hello Kitty mug off the table, sipping some of the hot chocolate and savoring the taste of it— very, very sweet. She keeps her eyes down on her pink slippers, thinking about the whole situation.
The Scorpions: a rising gang—no, an empire— that wants to take over the country, and possibly the whole world. They popped up not so recently, nearly four years ago, but they've done so many things that have made them notorious, putting themselves on the Top-Ten list of The Most Infamous Crime Syndicates of the century. They've burnt down buildings, kidnapped people, destroyed various banks, broke into S.K's weapon facilities, and much, much more. Their infamous hitman —The Cobra— is a literal monster; a sick man who enjoys seeing people burn and suffer and die in the most horrific ways on earth. There's an entire channel dedicated to him on the DarkWeb where he hosts gruesome events and tortures his victims live. And by the end he says that all the money he'd collected from the live will go to charity, saying that the poor people deserve the money more— how nice of him! And just so recently he killed the FBI agent Choi Yeonjun and released the footage to the whole world to see, putting himself out there in the spotlight.
Sarah had seen the video and then the crime scenes, witnessing the barbaric level of mutilation Yeonjun had gone through with her own eyes. It sickens and scares her to great lengths. The fact that anyone who steps into their ground gets killed mercilessly is disarming and pushes away anyone who wants to attempt to stop them; anyone who's afraid for their precious life...
