Park Seonghwa was awaken by the annoying alarm of the collar that's wrapped around his neck, striking way earlier than it should. He cursed and grumbled and even screamed at the ones watching him through the camera to stop it and that he's wide awake. He was furious and kept on cursing loudly with everything he did after. He was served breakfast not on the usual time and the food was for once edible and flavorful, something that he did not get for four years— it made him question the sudden change in the routine.
Perhaps today is his execution?? Perhaps today is the day that the whole court and police department will watch him fall through the floor and hang right in front of them and the other inmates, neck broken and body limp; dead. Perhaps this is going to be his last day alive on this damn world.
Why does he care, though?? He executed many people in his lifetime, it is only fair that the tables turn and someone else will come and execute him as well. After all, in the eyes of many, he is nothing more than a killer; a monster; a Devil who deserves to die in pure humiliation and burn the deepest pit of Hell. He had done so many wrongs in his life that some say that he is forever damned and that God will never forgive him. They all know what he did. But they don't know that Seonghwa didn't want to become the person— or the monster even— that he is right now. Like everyone else, he wanted nothing more than to live a normal life, away from all the killing and illegal activities. To grow up normally and attend school, go to university, and graduate with a degree just to find a fitting job and a woman who's willing to continue her life with him and build a beautiful family. Seonghwa was once a normal young boy who had a loving family and an older sister, played football and went to school just like all of the regular kids. He had a vision for himself in the future, a surgeon is what he wanted to become. He had a girl he liked in elementary school and he always left pink flowers on her desk everyday. He was a normal kid, up until one day, a wicked man decided to take him away and turn him into what is known now as the greatest dead-shot in South Korea; the Elite.
He still doesn't know why that man took interest in him, out of all the other kids he could have kidnapped and twisted their lives, he only laid eyes and shown interest to him. And look where he had got him to...
Actually, Seonghwa doesn't fear death anymore. He had seen a lot during the past 20 years he had been with the Mad Dogs, so much that he no longer fears death but what comes after it. He believes in God and believes that there is a judgement day and that Heaven and Hell exist. His only fear is that he ends up in Hellforever, with everyone that had caused him pain and suffering and the people he had killed and hated with his guts— someone like Sooheon. Seonghwa had spent exactly 4 years and 6 months in this place without having any proper human contact and it honestly drove him crazy— it's only a matter of time before Hangyeol sends someone to kill him. Now death is the only way for him to escape this Hellhole, but at least if the authorities did it then it would hurt his ego less.
